Just Friends {Episode 11} Part 2 Here is Part 2! Just in case you're curious, all these ideas have been stored in my head for a (More) Here is Part 2! Just in case you're curious, all these ideas have been stored in my head for a while, I just didn't exactly know the right way to get them out on paper, until today in the middle of study hall! I started scribbling on a piece of paper, which turned into 5 pages. When I get an idea and start writing, there's no stopping me! Haha! Enjoy and be sure to comment! "Nick, I am really sorry, I didn't know you felt that way. I thought we were..just friends," I said softly.
"That's the thing. I don't want to be just friends.."
My heart skipped a beat as I said, "Really..?"
He nodded and looked at me, studying my face.
"Well in that case..I don't really want to..be just friends either," I said softly. In reaction to my words, his lips spread into a wide grin that lit up his entire face.
"Wow.." was all he could say.
He hesitantly held my hand in his, goosebumps immediately forming on my arms. We smiled at each other before standing up. A happy vibe settled in the room, warming me from head to toe. I couldn't believe things were coming together so quickly. I thought my heart would always be broken, but turns out I was proven wrong. I sent a quick prayer to My Heavenly Father, thanking Him for everything He had just done.
"Alexa, I just want to let you know that no matter what happens, you will always be a special part of me that I can't live without. Even if nobody else is here, I will be. I promise I will never leave your side. Ever," said Nick, placing his hand over his heart.
I smiled sincerely and said, "You don't have to worry about me leaving your side either, Nick. I promise."
Nick reached out and gave me a hug, his strong, muscular arms wrapping around me. I felt so secure when I was in his gentle grasp; it felt familar, like home. Nick laid his head on top of mine and breathed in the floral scent in my hair. [Hahaha. Floral gum. Sorry, inside joke between me and a wonderful friend.] I closed my eyes and when I inhaled, the smell of his Polo Black awakened and calmed my senses.
"I love hugs," said Nick. "They make you feel good."
I smiled up at him. His voice was music to my ears. I took in his perfect facial features as if they were a famous piece of artwork hanging in a museum. His eyes were of a perfect shape and a mesmerizing shade of brown. His lips spread apart in a perfect smile, making his perfect skin tone glow. Wow, I just realized how many times I said perfect while describing him....maybe that's because he really is perfect. Well, I know that nobody is perfect, but he's the closest thing to perfection in my eyes.
I noticed his lips moving, but didn't quite make out the words. I was so lost in his chocolate brown eyes that I had totally missed what he had just said.
"What did you say?" I asked, my face immediately flushing.
"I said.." he paused, letting out a slight chuckle. "You know what else makes you feel good?" He smiled teasingly.
"No, what?" I asked, totally confused.
"Tickling," he said, an evil grin spreading across his face. Before I could do or say anything, Nick started tickling me and I fell down on the floor laughing.
"Nick, stop!" I cried, through laughter, but he wouldn't listen. He got down on his knees and continued tickling my sides. Tears started falling from my eyes because I was laughing so hard. He wouldn't stop, and when I tried to stand up and escape, he pinned my arms to the ground and grinned at me. I squirmed underneath his grip, which only made him grin even more.
Suddenly, my heart started racing and deep, unsteady breaths replaced my laughter as Nick leaned in close, his face lingering just inches from mine. When I saw him close his eyes, panic swept through my body. I didn't really expect this to happen, and I hated being unprepared. What was I supposed to do? Pull away? Scream? Fake an injury? Go for it? Since I didn't have much time to think on it, I decided on the latter. I slowly closed my eyelids as Nick placed his warm hand on the back of my trembling neck. His lips grazed my cheek and then-
"Nick!"
Cliffhanger! Uh oh..who is at the door? If so, did they see Nick and Alexa..well..you know? Urgh, why are the best moments always interupted by something? The world may never know! [Haha for some reason that made me think of the Tootsie Pop commercial. "How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a Tootsie Pop? The world may NEVER know!". Haha sorry, I am very hyper today. I had Barney songs stuck in my head and was annoying my friends with my singing in English and at lunch! Gotta love my hyper side! =D] More coming up in Part 3!
