Joe and Samantha have been waiting in the hospital for about an hour now. Sam was sitting quietly on (More) Joe and Samantha have been waiting in the hospital for about an hour now. Sam was sitting quietly on her chair while joe couldn?t stop pacing back and forth in the waiting room. "Why dont they come out and tell us something already?" Joe said almost yelling. "Calm down joe." She said to him staring blankly at the wall. "How can you be so calm? thats your sister in there! dont you even care!" Sam quickly shot up from her seat and got in joes face. "You better not be implying that I dont care joseph adam jonas! the last thing I need is for you to start saying that I dont care or that its my fault. you've been gone for four months! You dont even know half of the things lexi went throught these past few months." Just as sam finished her sentence the doctor walked in. "For alexis Ramirez?" The doctor asked. "is she ok? Whats wrong?" sam asked quickly turning around. "Well I think you should sit down for this." As joe heard those words the worst case scenarios ran through his head. He felt his heart drop to the pit of his stomach. "No! just tell me what is wrong with her! Is she going to be ok?" Sam began to scream as she demanded to know what was wrong with lexi. "Well I have some good news and some bad news." The doctor kept putting off what was actually going on with lexi and sam was getting tired of it. "JUST TELL ME!" She yelled. "Ok. It seems that lexi might have tried to get up and fallen and hit her head which is why she was bleeding. We believe she could have fallen because she was most likely dizzy which could have been caused by the fact that we noticed the tuner got bigger." The doctor explained to Samantha. "No..no..no..no dont tell me that" sam said shaking her head and beging to cry. "Tumor?" Joe said to himself. "What tumor?" he thought. He didnt know what was going on. "Im sorry but we ran some test and it shows that the cancer began to spread even more throughout her brain. We began her on treatment immediately.." "No! no! no! you said we caught it early! You said she was going to be fine!" Sam fell to her knees and began to cry. The doctor went over to help her up but sam just pushed him away. He noticed joe sitting on the chair with a blank stare which was caused by shock. "Son are you ok?" "Tumor?" Joe whispered quietly. "No one told me she had a tumor." "Son we found out two months ago.." Joe slowly got up and walked away. He walked out of the hospital and tried to grab some air. No its not true he thought. She cant have a tumor. Not lex. Not his lex. But then he began to think about the constant headaches she would have. He went back to when he would talk to her on the phone and she would complain about a headache. Not its not true. He had to hear it from her . He went back inside and saw sam was talking to the doctor in a room. So he asked the receptionist what room lexi was in and walked over to it. He saw lexi with her head bandaged up and was just staring at her through the window. Why her? He began to think to himself. Why does everything have to happen to her. Its not fair. Just then he felt a hand on his shoulder. "She was going to tell you ya know. She was just waiting for the right time. She didnt want to ruin your tour." sam said sniffling "A tumor?" "We found out when we noticed she stopped eating and started sleeping a lot. I forced her to go to the doctor and thats when they saw it." "But I have been talking on the phone with her. She sounded fine. And she never mentioned anything to me. maybe a headache or two but i just thought she was tired." "thats because the last thing she wanted was for you to pull off what you did today and ruin your music career.." Joe noticed lexi moving around and knew she was about to wake up. He opened the door and walked in. ------------ How is lexi going to react to joe? How will joe react to everything he just took in. is lexi going to be ok? How will the rest of the joni react.
