A Message To, And Fro' The Trees slowly but slowly
i'm sloughing off my slumber again,
no alarm but the firings of
pain (More) slowly but slowly

pain that shoot from base of spine to bloom of brain
to wake me
the sleeping fevered lover stirs,
kicks away the sweaty comforter,
rolls over and snores
slowly but surely,
i shake myself out of the
troubling dreams that still stir round me like smog from another planet,
alas, in my dream,
so like ours, so magnificent and
also as polluted
my dream world is not'
so other worldly
there are shootings
and prisons
and churches and bars and shabby interiors
dimly lit tenement rooms
full of blank eyed
strangers
who don't know each other
whole families
who don't recognise
one another,
since the blitz
left everyone shellshocked
amnesiac at best
or overwhelmed with guilt or rage at what man
and woman
hath overwrought
so we all sit around
and avoid
looking into each others' strange eyes
out of politeness
i do a lot of dishes there
fold a lot of dream laundry &
wage my battles with dust and death and entropy and the mean devil chenibusch
who lives at the base
of
my own diseased spine
and shoots spud missiles
at my couch potato ass
now
i remember you out there
surely, but how sure can we be?
we seek, we seem to reach
each others' frequencies
tentative, what i can only deem
attenuated,
half imagined?
no, it's real!
"don't imagine it's not real."
tensile tremulous antennae
bristling, nestling,
to the tips of your
embracing branches
i reach
my trembling fingertips
i unreel my racing mind
and try to aim the stream
of my consciousness
into your dream
and press against the cold, grimed windowpane my lips
suck in the stale,
recycled nightmare interior
air through, dry,
cracked, parched serengetti mouth,
and breathe a silent scream,
an atheist
prayer,
a pagan paean
i beseech
my tree grandmothers
and grandfathers
the slippery elms and beeches and ashes to
teach me
i need my elders, my oaks to speak
i need the speech of trees
need word
i tune to thee
oh word of my loved trees
loving the breath exchange that we
those who stand and endure do share,
oh green haired people, oh deep rooted ones

We grow many trees and shrubs commonly found in NJ and Pa. We grow and sell many Evergreens including Arborvitae, Boxwood, Viburnums Dragon Lady Hollies and Skip Laurels as well as many other types of trees and shrubs. Our farm is called Highland Hill Farm. We are open 7days a week from 7am to 6pm. We are located in Bucks County Pa near the NJ boarder north of Phila. Our street address is 5275 West Swamp Rd. Fountainville Pa 18923. We are centrally located to service the NY to Washington DC landscape market. We have 4 trucks on the road and make deliveries of our nursery stock as well as have 2 crews that can install trees and shrubs that we raise.
To keep our costs low we pool orders for delivery. If you order less than a truck load of materials. This way we can have a minimum delivery of just 1 tree to most locations!!!!
Our sons James and Michael both graduates of Delaware Valley College with degrees in Horticulture run the planting crews.
We grow hundreds of varieties of trees and shrubs. We have many that are deer resistant for use in screens and buffers. We also can install drip water lines for our stock.
