The (More) Video-idea for the song "Your Friend" by Declan Galbraith, from his self-titled album. The pictures are to describe/support the scenes, environments, camera-angles, actions, expressions (sometimes) and the clothes are just a suggestion for him to wear.
The pics aren't always a perfect fit but I tried my best to get pics that go with the story of the video.
Other Declan videos I've made include "Circles In The Sand" from Declan, "House Of The Rising Sun" from Thank You and "You And Me" from You And Me.
Lyrics:
If you're feeling all alone
if somebody makes you cry
Don't you worry 'bout a thing
I'll dry your eyes
Everything'll be alright
The sun is gonna shine on you
I will bring a summer breeze
Turn your grey skies into blue
If you need a helping hand just call me
Cos you don't have to face it on your own
chorus:
(Remember) Everybody needs affection
Everybody needs a friend
Everybody needs the same thing in this world
(Remember) Someone who will always be there
Right until the very end
No matter where you are, you can count on me
I'll always be......your friend
If you need a place to run to
A shelter when the rain comes down
I'll be there to make you smile
when the circus leaves town
And even in your darkest hour
When every little thing goes wrong
Let me be your satellite, I will guide you thru the night
If you ever need a helping hand just call me
And I will come running back to you
Chorus:
Together we will face the world
And try to live our dreams
I'll always pick you up when you are down
And if we have to say goodbye, and go our separate ways
I want you to remember I'll always feel this way
chorus:
Alt chorus:
Everybody wants the same thing in this world. Please remember
No matter where you are, you can count on me
I'll always be...your friend
About Declan:
Declan Galbraith (born December 19, 1991, in Hoo St Werburgh, Kent) is an English singer of Scottish and Irish origin. He and his family live in Hoo, a village near Rochester, Kent. His grandfather, who was known to Declan as "Poppy Ben," was in a band, played several instruments, took Declan to 'Fleadhs' (concerts) he was participating in and the explosive mix of Scottish and Irish musical traditions inspired Declan and became his early musical influence.[1] Declan is known for the control and range of his voice, as well as his ability to interpret and adapt material of differing genres.
Declan Galbraith is 3/4 Irish and 1/4 Scottish. Declan's grandfather would get him on stage, and they'd sing Irish folk songs. It was this that got him into singing. His first publicly acknowledged performance was at the age of 7 when he insisted on performing at the annual Rochester Dickens Festival where people would dress up as Victorians to celebrate the life of Charles Dickens and his links with the town of Rochester. It was reported that when Declan started singing, "the crowd went wild." [1] It was soon after this when he started entering local talent shows and within a year he had won 15 competitions and more than £1000. [1]
As a result of these talent show wins, major recording companies soon noticed Declan's talent for singing and was very soon signing his first recording contract. His first recording was a version of 'Walking in the Air',which was released on a special Christmas Hits album also featuring Westlife, Elton John and Elvis Presley among many others.[2]
His first album entitled Declan was released Sept 22 2002 under record giants EMI. It comprised mainly of Irish traditional songs but also contained some specially written material. It became a big success and charted in the UK and Ireland.[3] Another big success came during a nationwide tour of Young Voices concerts when breaking the Guinness World Record. It was at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast in December 2002 when he sang "Tell Me Why" live with some 10,000 children and was also simultaneously linked, by radio and satellite, with more than 80,000 children in their schools all over the UK, who accompanied him in achieving the world's largest choral sing.[4]
On March 29, 2003 Declan won 'Best Young International Performer' at the 'Twenty-Fourth Annual Young Artist Awards'. [5]
He appeared at the Queen's Jubilee at St Paul's Cathedral, where he sang 'Amazing Grace' accompanied by the St Paul's choir, and at an Elton John concert where at least 22,000 listeners were present. (Less)
