In this video, I said I would reference certain material in this description. The following is that information: Example video of something better done with direct sound to avoid distraction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBDttzf_lpw My software lineup (Windows): Audio recording and editing: Audacity: http://audacity.sf.net/ Video editing, resizing, track de-muxing: VirtualDub: http://www.virtualdub.org/ Video Editing and Assembly: VirtualDub (see above) ...and... Camtasia Studio http://www.techsmith.com/ Final conversions to YouTube format: AVS Video Converter (part of AVS Video Tools): http://www.avsmedia.com/ All of these tasks can be done in many different editing packages. I chose this lineup because it's the most efficient for me. Your tastes may differ. I certainly realise Camtasia Studio is not inexpensive--but it's also not entirely required. I was doing this strictly in VirtualDub before I got CS, and VDub is free. It just requires some calculating, whereas CS is drag-n-drop and saves oodles of time. Equipment required for 2 outputs to 2 amps plus a computer: 1) Two 2F to 1M 1/4" stereo splitters. 2) One 2M to 1F 1/4" stereo splitter. 3) Three 1M to 1M 1/4" stereo cables. 4) One 1/4" to 1/8" converter 5) Sound card/integrated sound with line in. In the above, M is male, F is female. If you only have one output, or you have 1/8" already, modify to suit. Just make sure you're using stereo components. (Less)
