From Dogtown to the GR stage: BLACK OCEAN "Rattle & Break" The "Rattle & Break" music video was recorded at Greece's AN Club and directed (More) The "Rattle & Break" music video was recorded at Greece's AN Club and directed and edited by Dimitri Maniatis of Silent Progression. Vid features x-pro skater and Greece's first pro surfer Tas, Godfather of the CST brotherhood (vocals/guitar), and JB (bass), and Antonis Petridis (drums).
Tas is a Pro teamrider for Frozen Wave: Billabong/Element/Von Zipper/Kustom and for Shop and Shops and has been called in Greece "The Godfather of Surf and Skate" in the media, having started surfing and skating in Greece during the early 70's and never quitting. A full length music/surf documentary DVD starring Tas will be released in 2009.
Tas lives both in Dogtown and at The Ikarus Artist Commune in CST Territory and fronts the band Black Ocean. Tas's roots go way back to the day with skating, surfing, and/or working professionally with Tony Alva, Peggy Oki, Allen Sarlo, Jay Adams, and other Z Boys and he was the Intl Longboard Skateboard Association President at one point.
Tas has played support dates with over fifty national acts including Iggy Pop, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Social Distortion, Jimmy Cliff, JFA, Goo Goo Dolls, and Royal Trux, and has performed on-stage with members of Black Flag, Bad Religion, REM, Nine Inch Nails, Flogging Molly, The Replacements, NOFX, Social Distortion, My Morning Jacket, Goo Goo Dolls, Danzig, and Agent Orange, from hardcore shows at New York City's now closed legendary CBGB's to punk shows at Las Vegas' House Of Blues, to metal shows at Hollywood's Sunset Strip icon Whisky A Go-Go.
Tas was the first Greek musician to record with Steve Albini back in 1995 with George Schwindt (drums, now playing in Flogging Molly) and Phil White (bass) for the album "Problem of the Poet". Nathan December later joined on bass before joining REM for two albums and tours (Monster & Up) and then later again Goo Goo Dolls. Rick Rubin's label American Recordings offered Tas a record deal for an Albini album recorded in 1997 but the deal never went through. Negotiations are in the process now for release of Black Ocean's debut album outside Greece.
Black Ocean is headlining The Ikarus Rock Festival in 2008. More info at TheIkarusFestival.com

Biography
"A Greek rock band with the power and conviction to make you truly believe. Juggling hardcore, epic rock, grunge and country punk, Black Ocean are kinda like Nirvana meets The Lemonheads meets The Meat Puppets meets Fugazi. 'The Zen Of Rock And Roll' is the debut album, recorded and mixed by Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Stooges) and chock full of genuine promise.
Echoing the likes of Nirvana's debut record or the early Soundgarden, Tad and Mudhoney material - these are dynamic pop songs with a hardcore edge, replacing slickness for a gritty live feel and rock attitude. Black Ocean have delivered a record that shifts from grimy hardcore menace to a country punk groove with the odd epic rock moment thrown in for good measure, and as such deserves to be heard and loved by as many people as humanly possible." -- Mike Bond

Chris Treborn VS Tyrant **NOTE** 4 Wrestlers who were originally booked for the show no showed which turned our scheduled 6 match card into a 4 match card. A couple of wrestlers were left with no opponents, so we did what we could to book some matches that would make up for those absences. Shawn Williams was the only wrestler on the show who did not have a match aside from the big Scramble Tag that everyone was involved in. His original opponent "Blaxx" didn't show up, which left Shawn with no other opponents to choose from, so he decided to only participate in the Scramble Tag Match at the very end. This decision was also intelligent on his part as his sternum was already injured from our previous show Dawn Of Destiny 2 and he also sustained a head injury the night before the event. The Scramble Tag for the new PHW Tag Team Championships was a quick decision that PHW Managment put into play to make up for the matches that were scrapped from the card. (Less)
