Bob Lind is known for his 1966 hit single "Elusive Butterfly" and other critically acclaimed folk-rock recordings from that period (produced by the legendary Jack Nitzsche). Bob is a prolific songwriter whose compositions have been recorded by over 200 hundred famous performers including Cher, Richie Havens, The Turtles, Petula Clark, Hoyt Axton, Marianne Faithful, John Otway and dozens more.
Bob stepped away from the music business in the 1980s but never stopped writing insightful and beautiful songs. The Los Angeles soundstage concert marks Bob Lind's return to the stage after roughly two decades on hiatus and features a mix of stunning new material with many old favorites. In addition to the concert, Bob videotaped a series of in-depth interviews about his life, his career and his music. He was also captured in rehearsal and on stage at two LA-area gigs and in candid backstage footage with friends and fans. The envisioned end-product is a concert program interspersed with documentary scenes, showcasing Lind's incredible gifts as a songwriter and performer, while giving insight to his unique personality and creative process. The producers are currently seeking distribution and interested parties are invited to contact Research Video Inc in this regard.

Bob Lind (born Robert Neale Lind, in Baltimore, Ohio, November 25, 1942) was a folk music singer/songwriter in the 1960s, who released one transatlantic chart hit single. That song was entitled "Elusive Butterfly", which was a #5 hit in 1966.
Over 200 artists -- including Cher, Glen Campbell, Aretha Franklin, Dolly Parton, Eric Clapton, Nancy Sinatra, The Four Tops, Richie Havens, Hoyt Axton, and Petula Clark -- have covered songs written by Bob Lind, but as a recording artist, he remains a one-hit wonder.
Lind retired from the music business in 1969 to pursue other interests. In more recent years he has resided in Florida and works as a writer. He is the author of five novels, and has written for such supermarket tabloids as the Weekly World News and the Sun.
Lyrics:
You might wake up some mornin'
To the sound of something moving past your window in the wind
And if you're quick enough to rise
You'll catch a fleeting glimpse of someone's fading shadow
Out on the new horizon
You may see the floating motion of a distant pair of wings
And if the sleep has left your ears
You might hear footsteps running through an open meadow
Don't be concerned, it will not harm you
It's only me pursuing somethin' I'm not sure of
Across my dreams with nets of wonder
I chase the bright elusive butterfly of love
You might have heard my footsteps
Echo softly in the distance through the canyons of your mind
I might have even called your name
As I ran searching after something to believe in
You might have seen me runnin'
Through the long-abandoned ruins of the dreams you left behind
If you remember something there
That glided past you followed close by heavy breathin'
Don't be concerned, it will not harm you
It's only me pursuing somethin' I'm not sure of
Across my dreams with nets of wonder
I chase the bright elusive butterfly of love
----- instrumental interlude -----
Across my dreams with nets of wonder
I chase the bright elusive butterfly of love (Less)
