Too Good To Be True (JB love story) Ch.23 Part 1 Sorry it took so long! Skool work... blame my teachers! Chapter 23, Part 1 Olivia lay on top of (More) Sorry it took so long! Skool work... blame my teachers! Chapter 23, Part 1 Olivia lay on top of her beach towel by the sandy shore, facing down with her eyes closed. The sun was warm on her back, and she couldn't even tell how long she'd been in that position. She was fiddling with the sand with her right hand fingers, thinking about her Operation FWN. Maybe it wasn't such a great idea? She had so many questions to ask herself, she decided to answer them one by one. Q. If she continued the plan? A. Mikayla and Joe wouldn't get together, and everybody's happy! (Well, maybe except for Nick and Mikhayla. But all she had to do was NOT tell Nick she was using him, right? And Mikhayla... She couldn't care less.) Q. But what if the plan doesn't work? A. All it would do is just hurt everybody -- Maddy, Gabby, Joe, not to forget Nick, and of course, herself. She didn't know if her plan would affect Mikhayla, Kevin, or Briana in any sort of way. Q. How high are the odds of the plan working? A. Not very... It just might drive Joe away for not believing him, flirting with another guy, and using his brother. Q. But what else was there to do except for Op. FWN, in order to keep from Joe and Mikhayla getting together? A. ... Now this, was a hard question Olivia had nothing. But it wasn't just that she had nothing, but it was like her mind was out of order and didn't work. The sun on her back was beginning to burn, and the hand she was playing with the sand with was slightly numb. She couldn't tell if she was moving her hand anymore or not. She was even beginning to feel dizzy. Why was she feeling this way? That was a new question, but like earlier, she got nothing. Soon she felt nothing, not even the burning sun on her back. She opened her eyes, but everything was a blur. She thought she heard Joe call her name and tried to call back, but before she could say anything, the lights went out. Mikhayla took a quick look at Olivia, who was lying on the sand for maybe more than an hour now. Joe and Mikhayla were sitting in shallow water, taking a little brake from boogie boarding. "Is Olivia okay?" Mikhayla asked Joe. "You know, she's been lying there under the sun for a while now, and that could be pretty dangerous. You could get sunstroke." Joe looked over at Olivia. Mikhayla was right -- Olivia had lied in the spot without movement, and it was beginning to worry Joe. He watched Olivia's hand as it fiddled with the sand, and let out a sigh of relief to know she was okay. But soon, the hand stopped. And without saying another word to Mikhayla, he ran out of the water and to Olivia. "Olivia!" He called. No answer. He flipped Olivia over on her back when he got to her, and found her unconscious. "Is she okay?" Mikhayla asked, sitting down next to Joe. She put her hand to Olivia's forehead. "It's hot." Mikhayla announced. "I think she's sunstroke. Come quick; let's take her to the main house." "What's wrong?" Nick asked as he came, Maddy and Gabby behind him. "Oh my god," Gabby said, as Maddy gasped when they saw Olivia dangling from Joe's arms. Then without any words, Joe stood up Olivia in his arms, and ran for the main house. Once he got there, he started banging on the front door. When Rosemary opened it, she gasped at the site of Olivia. "We think she's sunstroke," Joe explained, as Rosemary led him inside and gestured him to put Olivia down on the couch. "Thank you for taking her here, sweetie," Rosemary thanked Joe. "I'll take it from here. You can go back outside." Joe just stood there staring down at Olivia for a few seconds, then finally opened his mouth. "No," He said. "I'll stay here." Rosemary asked if he was sure, but Joe was determined to stay beside Olivia. *Continues to Part 2* (Less)
