CWF Mid-Atlantic Wrestling: Night of Challenges Open (1/17/09) CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC this Saturday, January 17th, (More) CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC this Saturday, January 17th, with a 7:30pm belltime. This is a huge event with a full card of action!
A night full of challenges to be settled this Saturday night! Lee Valiant was so upset over the ending of his TV Title Match against champion Marcellus King, that he cashed in his shot at any title he won at the CWF Rumble in October. King literally walked out on the match two weeks ago, giving Valiant the count-out victory, but keeping the title.
This Saturday night Valiant will get another shot at the title, but this time he's asked for the count-out ruled to be waived. New Commissioner Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens agreed and also added 5-minutes to the time limit to make sure that these two can settle it in or out of the ring! But the question in everyone's mind is how will the reunion of Destiny (Joey Silvia, Steve Greene, Lee Valiant & Ty Dillinger) play into this match?
Another big challenge match set up by the new commissioner, is a Six-Man Grudge Match between The Aftermath (Ric Converse, Ryan O'Reilly, Solomon Spades, Marcellus King, & William L. Cross) and Xsiris, Mikael Yamaha, and the returning Alex Adonis. Adonis made a surprise appearance two weeks ago, only to be attacked by the Aftermath when he challenged Ric Converse. This Saturday Adonis will team up with the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions and join their fight against the evil Aftermath.
New Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion, Brass Munkey, makes his first appearance back in the ring since winning the coveted title at Battlecade IX! Munkey has accepted the challenge Fatback Enterprises' Donnie Dollars. Dollars has been on a tear lately showing a real mean streak and commented that it's time he was featured in a prominent singles bout. The CWF Ace, Brass Munkey, was only too happy to provide that opportunity to Dollars this Saturday night. Although the two will collide in a non-title bout, it's a must win for both. A win by Dollars will skyrocket him to the number one contender's position and virtually guarantee Dollars a future title match. As new a champion, Brass Munkey cannot afford to lose his first match from capturing the heavyweight crown. This could prove to be a stellar matchup of the the night!
Another big challenge will see the ladies return to the ring again this Saturday. Amber O'Neal & Persephone will team up to face the SHIMMER Champion MsChif & GeeStar. Two weeks ago fans got to witness the former SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey in action, and now the reigning champion will enter the Carolina Sports Arena. Added to this mix is the special appearance of Krissy Vaine this Saturday. As the former partner of Amber O'Neal in Team Blondage, what will Krissy's appearance mean to this match???
