How Did Clooney's Much Awaited Film Do? - Stay Tuned! Another weekend, another box office. How did Clooney's much awaited film do? We've the (More) Another weekend, another box office. How did Clooney's much awaited film do? We've the all of the results coming up next! It's box office results time on Get-the-Daily-dot-com. I'm Dana Ward counting down the Top 5! On its opening weekend, the number 5 spot goes to a scary movie. It's 'The Ruins', racking up 7-point-8-million. This is a seriously freaky flick about 20-somethings who hit up Mexico on a va-kay and discover evil - yes, evil - while on an archeological dig in the jungle. And staying in the top-5 on its fourth week in a row, is the adult-friendly animation, Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears A Who. If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to check it out pronto. Moving right along to number-3, it's another brand new movie. We've got Nim's Island. This one is based on a children's book, so it may not be your cup of tea. But just in case you are interested, the fantasy includes a young girl, a scientist father and a lonely author, all trying to conquer an island and all of the crazy "things" on the island. Movie goers paid 13-point-3-million for this one over the weekend. Staying close by, with 13-point-5-million, at number 2, it's another opening weekend film. And I think the only reason it debuted at this position is because of its oh-so-hot cast, including the hansome George Clooney and the talented Renee Zellweger. It's a pretty cheesy, football period piece, but at least, the old-school uniforms are pretty cool to see. Staying strong, almost cheating it's way to number 1, it's 21 bringing in over 15 million. Remember, this is the flick about M-I-T math geniuses taking on cards in Vegas. That's the Top-5 at the box office! Be sure to check back next week for the latest results. For Get-the-Daily-dot-com, I'm Dana Ward. (Less)
