ATWT 4-24: Nuke's 4th kiss! Ameera leave? Luke moves in? I included the Holden and Meg stuff to show Holden coping without Lily. I think all the tension is why the writers made Lily to be such a horrible person. It's a way to kill off the character without angering the viewers too much. In the end, they decided to do a re-cast.
0:12 - Noah: "This can't happen" It's great that the writers didn't take the obvious route and have Noah kiss back. Infidelity is normal in soaps and many ATWT characters have been kissing people they shouldn't. It's great to see that Nuke aren't one of them.
0:28 - Holden: "I enjoy doing all those chores by myself!" These are Holden's first few days without Lily so everyone better be careful!
0:45 - Holden: "a gift for your boyfriend's wife" Although Luke doesn't want to talk here, the two are very comfortable discussing their relationships. Holden has been very supportive (although he first blamed Noah for Luke's paralysis), and it was Luke who encouraged Holden to date Bonnie (I miss her!)
1:09 - "Where's mom?" Lily is still obssessed with Dusty, and continue to lie to Holden about it. She decided to go away to figure out if this masrriage could still work. The bitch didn't even say goodbye to the kids. See what I mean about the writers trashing her? Not saying goodbye is not like Lily at all.
1:30 - Holden: "He's probably looking for some birthday candles" Love the mock punch Luke gives him. Being the adoptive dad, Holden is a friend and a father. And that fist is probably improvised By Van, once again showing how naturalistic his acting is
1:53 - Mike: "Luke didn't look real happy" That's Katie's ex, the latest sensitive hunk to return to Oakdale. Emma sold much of her farmland and Mike and Evil Paul have been contracted to work on it. Paul just played a evil trick on him
2:17 - "It's not funny" Noah's Adam's Apple gets really big whenever he's nervous or upset
2:39 - Noah: "You and I don't know wgat she's been through" Er, don't you mean, "Don't know WHAT SHE'S UP TO"????
3:00 - Oh no, Ameera is using the little orphan routine to gain sympathy! Should could have waited until Nuke was gone to leave. So do you think she's sincere or just hoping to elicit sympathy?
4:25 - Luke: "the most important thing is to keep Ameera safe" I hate to say this, but not once did I feel that her life was in imminent danger. In fact, the most dangerous thing has been lying to the ICE about her fake marriage. The writers really did a poor job
5:15 - Luke: "I should move in here" Luke's grandma Lucinda actually owns the place. It's unknown whether Noah or Ameera is paying rent
5:30 - Luke: "yes it does" Oh those eyes! Those kind sympathetic eyes!
5:57 - Noah: "if they put this in a movie, no one would believe it" Hah! Even the ATWT writers are poking fun at this unbelievable storyline!
I think it's intentional because there was another witty self-reference two days ago. Brad and Katie asked two of her ex-husbands, Jack and Mike, to be his Best Man. Guess who was Katie's Maid-of-Honor. It was another ex-husband, Gay Henry! (I told you the writers want him gay) When their boss, Kim, heard, she said, "Now we have a soap opera!"
5:59 - This is Luke and Noah's 4th on-screen kiss -- AIRING JUST ONE DAY AFTER THEIR 3rd ON-SCREEN KISS!!! And this time, it's in front of Ameera. Not exactly the gift she wanted for her birthday...
The first two kisses were full of tension and danger, while yesterday's 3rd kiss was joyful and ecstatic. Today's kiss is just a quick peck, although it's definitely lip-to-lip. This is the kiss that longtime couples and spouses would give each other. In other words, Nuke has achieved some level of domesticity and normalcy.
6:44 - Nuke holding hands by candlelight -- reminescent of the beautiful holiday dinner where Emma showed her acceptance of Noah. Luke then kisses Noah's hand. Sooo romantic. These boys have had more romance these past two days than they've ever had as a couple
Again, these affectionate gestures are often not scripted and completely improvised by Van and Jake.

Paul and Meg broke up on their wedding day, so the Snyders hate him. He's also the most evil character on ATWT now

1:36 - Luke: "I'll help you pick something out for her" Interesting that Luke needs to help Noah choose a gift. Shouldn't Noah know what Ameera likes?
2:01 - Ameera: "Do you want me to leave?" Watch Luke raise his eyebrows behind Ameera's back
2:35 - Goofy Casey is certainly forgiving. I'm still pissed at the way she dismissed him at the diner. She has not thanked him for his help at the college dance or pretending to be gay
3:17 - Luke: "keep your voice down" It's interesting that Luke and Noah have reversed roles here. Normally, Noah is the one who is paranoid and tells Luke (and Casey) to be quiet
3:44 - Luke: "never pictured buying women's jewelry with you" I guess Luke isn't into drag... I think he's look great in a pink chiffon dress and some silver hoop earrings. :)
4:00 - Luke: "you were upset. I felt bad" Shopping to cure sadness. That is such a girlie and gay thing to do!
4:17 - note the shaky handheld camera. It's pretty prominent here. Very reminescent of Cinema Verité and Dogma 95 (sorry, I took two semesters of Cinema Studies so I might as well udse it!)
4:30 - Noah: "she won't" The camera is practically bouncing here! I may be seeing too much into it, but the technique is often used to signify confusion or impending drama/danger
5:24 - "I think so too" This has been discussed before but I have never seen the height difference between Van and Jake shown so dramatically. In a photo shoot, Van had to stand on a book to equalize their heights but the difference seem so much larger here. Strangely, imdb only indicates a 1" difference
5:42 - "Ameera wasn't at the ice cream shop ... or Java" Wow, Oakdale muist be incredibly small if there are only two places she could be. Ameera said that she had to do something so why do the guys think that she's eating ice cream or sipping coffee?
6:41 - Noah: "Everyday I think how lucky I am to have you" Notice how comfortable Noah is saying these words. He's come a long way since choking on similar words that he wrote in cards to Luke
6:55 - I love the spin they do just before the kiss -- almost like a dance
6:59 - Noah: "What about 'em?" Unlike the first two kisses, which were full of tension and danger, this kiss is a joyful one. Note how Luke smiles throughout the kiss (we can't see Noah's face). It's ecstacy. Van and Jake are now good friends and very comfortable with each other. Plus, they probably don't feel the pressure of breaking new ground anymore, and they already have a good sense of audience reaction.
Apparently, the kiss was unscripted and a total surprise to everyone except producer/director Chris Goutman. Even Jake and Van didn't know. After the episode was taped, Goutman asked the two guys back to do the kiss. This might have been done to prevent protest.

7:22 - I'm not thrilled by Ameera but WOW! She is hot in that black dress. I guess the hijab was a prop after all because no devoutly religious Muslim woman would wear a backless BOOBlicious dress like that. Yes, I wrote BOOBlicious. I can hear certain conservative Muslim activists screaming for protests. You can bet they're watching because Ameera is currently the only Muslim character on daytime TV. And frankly, I don't blame them too much since Ameera is a law-breaking homewrecking (HOMOwrecking) seductress, not exactly a positive image
7:47 - Ameera: "you haven't been with me" This lends credibility to those who think that Win sent Ameera to convert Noah
