DEADSY - Phantasmagore Album: Phantasmagore
in the blackest of light
you try to sell the sooth, you try to turn me on (More) Album: Phantasmagore
in the blackest of light
you try to sell the sooth, you try to turn me on
and undercover at night
in times of ill refute they play a distant song
when there's a sudden surprise
and they're not trying to be ruthless, they want to belong
oh, will they ever produce this
malevolent stranger devoid of wrong
and still it rolls along
forever facing the sun
let the suicide of music take control
oh, we would hope to remove
of all the dying in twos and the drifting in nines
time to open your eyes
and see the fading of truth by the growing of lies
so if you ever could choose
between the valley and kingdom your faith shall rise
and still it turns the time
bereathed in burning fires
a plasmic herald sinks alone and cries
"let bleed the nectars of devotion"
beneath the earth still lies phantasmic emerald paradises
come cosmic thunder, sip the potion
let the suicide of music take control
as the carrier infuses to your soul
bereathed in burning fires
a plasmic herald sinks alone and cries
"let bleed the nectars of devotion"
beneath the earth still lies phantasmic emerald paradises
come cosmic thunder, sip the potion
let the suicide of music take control
as the carrier infuses to your soul

DEADSY TIL WE DIE
Despite the fact that musicians abhor comparisons to other talent, I do find that Deadsy's second release, draws on the depth of young-Black Sabbath. It is more rock now, less goth. One may hear RUSH similarities in the intense bass and extended chorus. The synchronized rhythms and beats are Alice & Chain-ish, with appropriate angst of Guns & Roses.
You may hear intensity in the impending harmony of Queensryche. You will hear Stone's Paint it Black and bits of Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song in Time. Even in Black Dreams, a distortion technique brings a touch of mainstream with Bon Jovi.
I didn't use to love Deadsy.
I started listening when I heard Cher & Elijah's version of Crimson & Clover, a cut above Tommy James & the Shondells. And got curious about Elijah's music (P. Exeter Blue I). I liked Mansion World on Commencement. I liked Key To Gramercy Park. And Flowing Glower hinted at the depth of original lyrics to follow.
The second track on the latest release, Carrying Over, is better than a continuation.
It is masterful, as is the amazing title track, Phantasmagore. Now I love Deadsy.
They are definitely Better Than I Know. The haunting medleys can transport me to Urantia-Land, drug free, anytime. Many are thinking they could win a World Music Award for Best Original English Lyrics.
And Media Future (myspace.com/media future) says
Deadsy has the BEST SPACE on MySpace.

Before his band DEADSY was born, I saw him, at age 14, play with CHER in Salem, Oregon. It poured down rain the entire time, but he never stopped once or even flinched or looked unhappy.
Incredible spirit and determination.
Deserving of his recent success.
Remarkable song and awesome solo demos.

DEADSY - Paint it Black Album: Phantasmagore
One of the things they wanted was to deconstruct a band favorite in their (More) Album: Phantasmagore
One of the things they wanted was to deconstruct a band favorite in their cover song, Elijah said(Mitch Schneider Organization Article.)"We like the idea of spinning some musical heritage into a modern record and making it sound like it belongs there," Blue confides. "I welcome that challenge." Still, he jokes, "We included more Indian instruments on there than Brian Jones did -- that's live harmonium, tambour and sarongi."
A display of true unusual dedication in today's music world, this band took the unprecedented step of actually making personal phone calls to their fans termed "Legions," during their Tour.
In addition to meeting countless fans and loyal supporters for hours for autographs, poster and CD signings, and posing for photos.
The lead singer and lead guitarist is Elijah Blue Allman, stage name P. Exeter Blue I, for the rock band Deadsy which consists of Alec Pure on drums, Dr. Nner on synthesizer, Carlton Megalodon on Z-tar, and Jens Funke on bass. Elijah, who recently embarked on a promising solo career, is deserving of much praise for being born to celebrities CHER and Gregg Allman but not letting that status keep him from being considerate, responsible, personable, and conscientious.
He has overcome many obstacles, including people who credited his success merely due to his background, creating this band on his own, with a very determined, unselfish work ethic and spirit.

D E A D S Y TIL WE DIE PART 2
Elijah Blue Allman: Guitar/Vocals
Carlton Megalodon: Z-tar/Guitar
Dr. Nner: Synthesizers
Alec Pure: Drums
Creature: Bass
The four-hour drive one way was worth it, originally in fear & loathing in Las Vegas. The city of Cabazon was amazing. Set amongst the palms and hills of the San Fernando Valley's grassy, mountains, brown from the sun, near resort towns Indio and Palm Springs.
The Morongo Indian Casino with the brand new stage venue, Key Club.
A gorgeous, unique, circular casino with three floors.
The view was incredible at varying levels.
Not as incredible as D E A D S Y though.
Opening for She Wants Revenge.
D E A D S Y's intensity and rhythmic beat, held the audience
captivated, head-bangin', keepin' time.
Their graciousness to Legion's and the willingness of band members and friends to pose for photos was appreciated, being imitated by others in the industry more lately. (Indeed, their style is unique. I will never forget how Creature gave me a personal call at home to thank me for the support as part of a call the fans, campaign).
Alec Pure, in particular, was very energetic and unusually eager to pound his drums to new highs with his fabulous style, right on track and in sync with the light show, always polite and professional.
Expert, task-master, Elijah's haunting refrains, leading the way in his awesome Wuthering Heights style, with well-pronounced and amazing recollection of his original, complicated lyrics in front of the maddening crowd, once again remarkable.
Dr. Nner's hair looked blonder and shinier than ever as he used his synthesizer and keyboards to continue to add the captivating harpsichord melodies of old favorites like "Mansion World."
Carlton was alert and in perfect harmony as usual. He and Claudia, of the band Lunar Click, always extremely sincere and considerate, their
sense of fashion style, appreciated and amazing.
Creature's performance & style was noticeably missing due to a bad broken finger, so another bass guitarist played in his stead.
The bands performance, clearly dynamic, even led to a brief chorus of
"D E A D S Y" resonating from the floor. From a sophisticated audience,
refreshing to contribute to this promulgation. The only concern I had was it was tough to hear the vocals because the music seemed louder.
Highly recommended pre-Halloween musical experience, a lasting memory.
