Joe stumbled through the hospital door as he was running frantically down the hall trying to find (More) Joe stumbled through the hospital door as he was running frantically down the hall trying to find lexi. The nurse at the reception desk ran over to him and grabbed him. "Hey! You need to relax! You cant be running around like this." She said trying to get him to slow down. "Where is she? I need to find where she is!" He said trying to her out of her way. Joe sighed and took a deep breath. "I need to find Alexis Ramirez. My brother called me and told me she was here." "ok and you are?" She said looking through her papers trying to find her name. "Joseph jonas. Im her boyfriend. Please tell me shes ok." He said nervously tapping his foot as he waiting for the nurse. "Shes in room 227. Shes fine just a little groggy. If youre gonna go in there just take it easy ok." "Ok" he said. He was relieved. He hurried and made his way to her room. He got the room and looked through the window and saw that Kevin and sam were there talking with lex. He slowly walked into the room. "Hey babe!" Lexi said trying to get up but felt a sharp pain shoot through her head. "Ow." She said. "Relax." Sam said pushing her down softly into the bed. "You heard what the doctor said. No quick movements." "Ok. I forgot." She looked over to joe who was walking up slowly to her bed with his head down. Babe come here. He held out her hand for joe to take it. "you ok hun? you look like you're going tp pass out. wanna traid places?" "No." he said under his breath. "I was so scared. Im sorry I know I should have gone with you. You shouldnt have gone by yourself." "Hey its ok. Its my fault. You know me being stubborn." She had a smile on her face and joe couldnt figure out why. "Um. Lets go grab some coffee yeah babe?" Kevin said asking sam. "Its ok I dont want any you go ahead." She replied. He gave her a look and then signaled to look at joe indicating that they should leave them alone. "But you know what coffee does sound good." The two of them got up and walked out of the room. Joe just stood standing there quiet. "Babe you can sit if you want. I mean its not like you're a stranger to this place." She said laughing. He slowly walked over to the chair and plopped down. He had his hand on his knees and his head was hung low. "What happened?" he asked in a whisper. Lexi took some time to think she was debating whether or not to tell him what really happened. "Um. I guess the story is that I had a seizure as I was walking home and some um nice person came by and called the ambulance. The doctor told me that now I have to take medicine to stop me from having a seizure. But that was my fault because I didnt take my medicine when I was supposed to." She began to laugh as she blamed herself. Joe stayed quiet. "How can you be so happy when this happened." He said looking up at her. "I dont know." she shrugged her shoulders "I guess im just tired of always feeling bad. Im tired of having this keeping me down. And your attitude right now isnt helping." "Im sorry." He got up and went over to the bed. "Its just...scary." "Of course its scary. If its scary to you imagine how terrifying it is to me. I just dont want this to get the best of me. Im tired of crying. Im tired of feeling bad for myself. And im especially tired for people feeling bad for me. Im going to start chemo in two weeks, my hair is going to fall off, im going to be throwing up my insides and the last thing I need is people feeling sorry for me." "Ok." He said smiling at her. He put his hand on her cheek and kissed her. "thats why you are so amazing." "Thank you." She said smiling. "How about we grab my stuff and get out of here. Im ready to go home!" "Can you?" Joe asked concerned. "Yeah. I would have gone earlier but kev said you were on your way so I decided to wait for you." She got up slowly and held out her hand for joe to help her get out of the bed. He noticed a necklace on the bed and grabbed it. It was the necklace he gave her when he asked her to be his girlfriend...twice. She went to put her hair up into a ponytail when she noticed her necklace was missing. "Oh my god." She began to pat her neck. "Wheres my necklace. Oh man please dont tell me I dropped it on the street." Tears were filling her eyes. "Relax." He said. "Its right here. Its good to know it means so much to you." He said smiling. He went to go put it on her. "Its the only thing I have of you when your gone. Its your heart remember." She said smiling giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Yeah..." he said smiling. They grabbed her stuff and headed home. ---------------- Kind of boring but I have writers block. Lol the next chapter is the last one in this season.
