Travis Tritt
Travis Tritt (born James Travis Tritt, February 9, 1963 in Marietta, Georgia) is an American country (More) Travis Tritt (born James Travis Tritt, February 9, 1963 in Marietta, Georgia) is an American country music singer-songwriter.----------------------------Biography Tritt was born in Marietta, Georgia to James and Gwen Tritt. At age 3, he received his first guitar from his father. Travis Tritt started writing songs while he was in high school; the first song he wrote was called "Spend A Little Time", written about his girlfriend at the time who broke up with him. All throughout his childhood, Tritt was obsessed with music, spending hours at a time in his bedroom with a guitar he learned to play by himself, learning any music he could get his hands on. By 22, he had been through two divorces and had committed himself entirely to his music career. He has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1992. His breakthrough came with his first album, Country Club, from which five singles were released, as well as his first No. 1 hit with "Help Me Hold On"' His second album, It's All About To Change, produced three top-3 hits: "Anymore", "The Whiskey Ain't Workin'", and "Here's A Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)". The song "Bible Belt" was used in the movie, My Cousin Vinny, and, for which, he composed alternate lyrics exclusively for the use of the film. Tritt has released a trilogy of music videos describing the tale of two paralyzed war veterans: Mac Singleton and his friend Al. The first is "Anymore" followed by "Tell Me I was Dreaming" and finally "If I Lost You". Tritt plays Mac Singleton, a wheelchair bound veteran. In "Anymore" he is reluctant to continue his relationship with Annie following his return home crippled. Then in "Tell Me I was Dreaming" he tries to rescue Annie, now pregnant, from slipping off a boat, subsequently hitting her head on the side of the dock. She dies, but their baby, Annie, survives. The third video "If I Lost You" shows what happened with Singleton and his daughter after the second video. Tritt's album, My Honky Tonk History, showcases a wide range of styles, from love ballads to energetic footstompers. Tritt has collaborated with many other musicians, including: Marty Stuart ("This One's Gonna Hurt You", "Honky Tonkin's What I Do Best"), Patti LaBelle ("When Something is Wrong With My Baby"), Ray Charles (Crossroads), Ricky Skaggs' Bill Monroe tribute ("My Little Georgia Rose"), George Jones ("Walls Can Fall", "I Don't Need Your Rockin' Chair", "The Race Is On"), Lari White ("Helping Me Get Over You"), Hank Williams, Jr. ("Outlaws Like Us"), Waylon Jennings ("Outlaws Like Us", "I've Always Been Crazy"), Johnny Cash, Lorrie Morgan ("Steppin' Stones"), Vince Gill, Buddy Guy ("Change In The Weather"), David Lee Roth ("Your Filthy Little Mouth"), Gary Rossington ("Blue Collar Man", "No Vacation From The Blues"), Kenny Rogers ("If I Were You"), Mark O'Connor ("Heroes", "The Devil Went Down to Georgia"), The Eagles ("Take It Easy"), and many others. In 1998, Tritt was in the film Blues Brothers 2000, performing in a band called the Gator Boys. Tritt was also in the 2005 remake of 2001 Maniacs as a gas clerk. In 2002, Tritt was asked by CMT to do an episode of Crossroads, a special program where artists choose who they would like to play music with for an evening, and he chose to share the opportunity and experience with Ray Charles. The night was particularly memorable for anyone familiar with Charles' own roots in country music. He paid tribute to Charles at the Grand Ole Opry by performing his hit "What' I Say" on June 3, 2006 on GAC. Tritt also teamed with John Mellencamp for a duet on "What Say You" in 2004, a song both have noted was inspired by Fox News Channel commentator Bill O'Reilly, who often introduces a topic and then throws it to a guest with the introductory "... what say you?". Tritt also played at the 2000 Republican National Convention. Under the news section of his website, Tritt revealed that he was co-producing his next album with American Idol judge Randy Jackson. The album, titled "The Storm", was released in August 2007. Among one of the more unique parts of Tritt's new album is a cover version of the Canadian rock band Nickelback's song "Should've Listened", from their The Long Road album. Travis married Theresa Nelson on April 12, 1997. They now reside in Hiram, Georgia off of Travis Tritt Highway. Together, they have three children: Tyler Reese (born February 18, 1998), Tristan James (born June 16, 1999) and Terian Nathaniel (born November 20, 2003). Former members of Tritt's band The Country Club include: Wendell Cox - guitar "Eddie" Gray - drums Tim Passmore - fiddle, background vocals, guitar Jim "Jimmie Joe" Ruggiere - harmonica, mandolin Jon Bonnette - bass guitar George Stallings - drums Steve Ramsey - keyboards [edit] Recent news MacBook: Travis Tritt edition In March 2007, a concert promoter in the Pittsburgh area sued Tritt, claiming he had committed to play a show but then backed out and signed on to play a competing venue. Tritt's manager denied he had ever signed a contract with the promoter. [1] Tritt released his newest album, The Storm on August 21, 2007. The first single from the disc is "You Never Take Me Dancing", written by Grammy award-winning songwriter Richard Marx. "You Never Take Me Dancing" was originally released on Marx's 1997 album titled Flesh and Bone. [2] For a limited time, Apple introduced the MacBook: Travis Tritt edition, to commemorate Tritt's new album. The computer comes with a free copy of The Storm. (Less)

WU TANG "Killa Beez" DIRTY VERSION (TV-MA) 04:09 From: nogoodtv Views: 107.303 Description: It's the UNCENSORED, EXPLICIT CUT of the slammin' track "KILLA BEEZ" from the ground-breaking cd WU TANG KILLA BEEZ present THE STING.The Wu-Tang hip-hop collective can always be counted upon to release a worthwhile product, the level of quality control befitting a grass-roots cottage industry. The RZA produces the lion`s share of the tracks on THE STING, so you know from the start that you`re guaranteed some evocative tracks and visceral beats. The sonic thread of consistency that RZA weaves proves valuable as a revolving door of rappers spins from track to track, each turn introducing another street-smart master of Rhyme. Things get off to a pumping start with the self-referential mission statement of `Killa Beez,` where Bobby Digital, Inspectah Deck, and others peel off urgent raps over an energetic backbeat. While this cut sets a pattern for much of what`s to follow, there are interesting diversions such as `When You Come Home,` a more low-key track where Shyheim sends out his compassion to a cohort in lockdown, over a Middle-Eastern-tinged keyboard riff. The limited-edition version of THE STING also features a second disc of bonus cuts, just in case the aforementioned hip-hop smorgasbord isn`t enough. For more uncensored music videos visit the DMV channel on NO GOOD TV at The Wu-Tang Clan is a New York-based rap group, consisting of nine American rappers who are Grammy winners, multiplatinum-selling solo artists, multiplatinum record producers, film stars, screenwriters, TV stars, product spokespersons, business owners and, most recently, major motion picture composers. The group started in 1992 with just three members, RZA, GZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard, known as All In Together Now. The group later added six members, and featured nine MCs until the death of Ol' Dirty Bastard in 2004. There are now estimated to be over 300 Wu-Tang Clan affiliates consisting of rappers, actors, record label CEOs and hit-making record producers who have crafted street singles for the likes of Outkast, LL Cool J, DMX, Mobb Deep and Busta Rhymes. The Wu-Tang Clan derives its name from the 1981 martial arts movie Shaolin and Wu Tang. The founders of the Wu-Tang Clan were RZA, GZA, and Ol' Dirty Bastard, who had previously comprised the group Force Of The Imperial Master, who became better known as All In Together Now after they had released a popular single by that name. The group had attracted the attention of some in the industry, including Biz Markie, but had never managed to secure a record deal. Since the crew dissolved, GZA (then known as the Genius) and The RZA (then known as Prince Rakeem) had also embarked on separate unsuccessful solo careers with Cold Chillin' Records and Tommy Boy Records, respectively. Their frustration with the workings of the hip hop music industry would provide the main inspiration to Wu-Tang Clan's revolutionary business plan. According to The Wu-Tang Manual, at the group's inception, RZA promised the members that if he had total control of the Wu-Tang empire, it would conquer the hip-hop world within five years, after which he would relinquish his total control.Wu-Tang Clan was gradually assembled in late 1992 from friends and accomplices from around Staten Island, with The RZA as the de facto leader & the group's producer. The two cousins (GZA (pronounced Jizzah) and The RZA (pronounced Rizzah) ) created their new Wu-Tang aliases by mimicking the sound that the words "genius" and "rakeem" would make when scratched on a turntable. The word Wu-Tang comes from the name of the Taoist holy mountain Wu Dang in northwest Hubei Province in central China; it was also the site of the Ming Purple Imperial City built by Emperor Yong Le during 1404-1420. The RZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard adopted the name for the group after seeing the Kung fu film Shaolin and Wu Tang, which features a school of warriors trained in Wu-Tang style. The group's debut album loosely adopted a Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang theme, dividing the album into Shaolin and Wu-Tang sections and using dialogue excerpts as skits. The group have also developed various backronyms for the name (as hip hop pioneers like KRS-One and Big Daddy Kane did with their names), including "We Usually Take All Niggas' Garments," "Witty Unpredictable Talent And Natural Game" and "Wisdom, Universe, Truth, Allah, Nation, and God".Method Man has also mentioned that the "Wu" is the sound a sword makes when cutting through the air, and "Tang" is the sound it makes against a shield. 6.
