KH2FM - Armor Xemnas 1 No Damage/Limit/Drive (LV1 CM) You tend to appreciate this fight more when you do it at LV1. Armor Xemnas 1 has the ability to use (More) You tend to appreciate this fight more when you do it at LV1. Armor Xemnas 1 has the ability to use one attack that each of the Org members you recently defeated. So he may use an attack from Demyx, Xaldin, Xigbar, Luxord, Saix, and Axel. Everytime he says "Cursed fools" (or something), it means he's about to use one of their attacks. So watch closely.
He always starts with Xaldin's it seems. This will have his lances strike down twice. You can Reflega it or Guard it. Dodge Roll would probably work too if you time it right. Demyx's will be Water Clones. You kill them the same way you normally would. Xigbars just shoots lasers at you from above the throne. They're easy to avoid. Saix's is a two Claymores that smash down. Stay out of the middle to avoid that. Luxord's are cards that twirl around. And Axel's has his two weapons that spin around going closer and closer. If you stay in the middle, and then jump outward, they won't hit you.
As for Xemnas himself, he just has two of his own attacks. A sword slash and a guard shield. Reflega or Dodge Roll the sword slash. And just back away from the guard shield. Note that you CANNOT guard the sword slash. And it's a sure one hit killer. If you combo Xemnas too much, he counter attacks. He may do the guard shield twice in a row, so be aware of that. I've found out if you do Explosion when he does the shield, it'll probably not hit you, because you're temporarily invincible during Explosion and it pushes you back right after. But don't count on that saving you.

Oh, and I didn't use Limits for the fun of it. That'd make it too easy.

Q: How do you stay Level 1?
A: In Critical Mode in KH2FM, you are given an EXP 0 ability at the beginning of the game. Equipping it makes it so you don't gain experience. Drive Forms aren't affected by it, so you can still level those up.
Q: What's Critical Mode (CM)?
A: Critical Mode is the new difficulty mode in KH2FM. It's basically slightly harder than a low level Proud Mode challenge.
Q: Hey how come you have (Insert ability here) at level 1 when you get (insert same ability here) at (insert KH2 required level here).
A: In KH2FM, they switched some abilities around and made some where you don't have to level up to gain them. A perfect example is the Scan ability.
Q: How can you do 2 finishers so early on in the game?
A: Just like with the EXP 0 ability, you're also given a Finishing Plus ability at the start of the game. So you can do 1 normal finisher + a second finisher.
Q: How come I hear English voices if this is KH2FM? I thought it was Japanese!
A: KH2FM has English voices with Japanese text. Simple as that, I don't know why people can't grasp that.
Q: How can I get KH2FM and how would I get it to run on my PS2?
A: If you have the fat PS2, like me, get Swap Magic + a Slide Card. I got the Swap Magic 3.6 + Slide Card deal at thegiantstore.com. I also bought KH2FM at play-asia.com
Q: How come your stats increase if you're level 1?
A: You get bonus level stat ups from beating scripted fights. For example, some give you HP+, MP+, Strength +1, Defense +1, etc. If this didn't happen, then it would be near impossible to do a LV1 playthrough.
Q: Hey is this Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix?
A: You're an idiot, get off the internets. (Less)
KH2FM - Vexen No Damage/Drive/Limit/Magic/Item (LV1 CM) I must say, Vexen was actually very easy. The first time I thought the only reasonable way to beat (More) I must say, Vexen was actually very easy. The first time I thought the only reasonable way to beat him at LV 18 was to use Wisdom Form and Firaga. Seems like you don't need much of anything to win. Vexen's AS version is much easier and dumbed down from his data version.
I matched Apul's challenge on this one. If I feel like trying to restrict it more later on I will. But this is good enough for now. Here are the rules we both used:
No Damage
No Drive
No Limit
No Item
No Magic
No Summons
No using stat boosts
Must complete before the Roxas fight in TWTNW, which means no Final Form or LV3 Growth Abilities.
Of course, he didn't specifically list some of those, but you can pretty much tell it's what he did. Even though he doesn't show his abilities or stats they're pretty much the same as mine, I would assume.
Only have any of the following abilities equipped (these are my rules):
Guard
Air-Side Slash/Horizontal Slash
Finishing Rise
Retaliating Slash (shouldn't need it if you don't take damage)
Flash Step (FM only)
Stride Break/Guard Break
Explosion
Aerial Sweep
Aerial Dive (FM only)
Air Spiral
Aerial Finish
Counterguard
High Jump LV2
Quick Run LV2
Dodge Roll LV2
Aerial Dodge LV2
Scan
Aerial Recovery (shouldn't need it if you don't take damage)
Combo Plus (can use if you want)
Air Combo Plus (can use if you want)
Reaction Up (Had this equipped unintentionally, won't help)
Finishing Plus (only can be obtained in FM at LV1)
EXP0 (again, unintentional, you don't get exp so it's fine)
--
So as I've said, this is generally an easy fight even with these restrictions. I do my combos different than Apul's. You see, other than wanting to do it a little diff, this way has a plus side..kind of. The final use of Explosion doesn't hit Vexen, but it blocks his icicle counter attack and also starts to damage his shield (takes like 1/4 of HP). So that makes it much easier to keep breaking his shield. It's also a lot safer to use for the counter attack than timing Quick Run. The rest I'm going not really explain, you can figure out from watching.
Difficulty for normal LV1 win (Wisdom Form + Firaga): *****
Difficulty for normal LV1 win (without Wisdom Form + Firaga): ******
Difficulty for LV1 no damage: *******
Difficulty for LV1 no damage (with the restrictions): ********
That's all I had time to do tonight. I'll try to work on more later tonight.
