I do however like to think that its godly tone is somewhat showcased. I've been playing for three-ish years. It's just a guitar solo (really more of a sweep picking exercise, hence the title). I was motivated to learn sweep picking by studying the work or artists such as Frank Gambale, Rusty Cooley, and Jason Becker. Many have asked exactly how I went about learning sweep picking. There's really no one way to learn. All I can say is practice it a lot. Nothing but sweep picking, sweep picking, sweep picking. Get a metronome, as doing it in time is very important and difficult, especially if you try to do it AFTER you've learned to sweep at a good speed. Everybody learns at a different pace, and sweep picking may be easier or harder for you than other players, that's just the way it is. Personally, sweep picking seems to almost "come naturally" to me at this point. I find it easier than alternate picking. Thanks for watching! (Less)
