KEVIN: Okay, just come find us when you're ready to leave. I don't think Joe and Brynn will be finished any time soon...so you don't have to rush it. Come on, Paige, lets go see if they have any Italian ice...I'm craving some right now.
*Paige giggles and follows Kevin to the left, while Nick leads Gabrielle to the right.*
NICK: *To Gabrielle, as they are walking.* I was thinking that we could ride the singles, and race each other.
GABRIELLE: I don't think that's a good idea.
NICK: Why not?
GABRIELLE: Cause I wouldn't want you to cry.
NICK: And why would I cry?
GABRIELLE: Cause I would kick your butt.
NICK: Ooh, is that a challenge I sense from Shrimp over here?
GABRIELLE: I believe it is, and don't call me Shrimp!
NICK: Then grow.
GABRIELLE: Hey!
NICK: Kidding...kidding...I love your height. But that doesn't mean you're gonna win. Cause you wont.
GABRIELLE: BRING IT!
NICK: Oh, it's on.
*They reach the stacks of inflatable tubes and each grab one. Gabrielle leads the way up the many flights of stairs to the top of the slide, and when they get there, they are lucky enough to not have to wait in line. Because there are so few people at the park, they had the slide all to themselves for the moment. The teenage boy working the slide looked to be about Joe's age and bored out of his mind. He looked around when Gabrielle and Nick reached the top, and nodded at them that they could go without removing his ipod buds from his ears. Setting their tubes down, in opposing slides, they settle themselves in, and look at each other.*
NICK: Ready...
GABRIELLE: Set...
NICK AND GABRIELLE: Go!
*They both push off from the wall and take off down the slide. Nick can hear Gabrielle screaming, and he laughs, which Gabrielle hears and it makes her crack up. By the time they shoot out of the ends of their slides, they are both giggling, and when Gabrielle's tube turns over and dumps her into the water, Nick laughs hysterically. He's still laughing as they get out of the water and walk to return their tubes*
NICK: Graceful...graceful...
GABRIELLE: *Sarcastically.* We already know I'm about the most coordinated person on the planet, but at least I beat you.
NICK: Did not.
GABRIELLE: Did too!
NICK: Did not!
*They both look at each other and start laughing again, knowing that they're never going to be able to solve this debate.*
GABRIELLE: Okay, well I have a different idea. We're clearly both too competitive to go against each other, so lets find Kevin and Paige and race them in the double tubes! There are two slides there, too, so you and I can beat Kevin and Paige in the two-seaters!
*Nick agrees that this sounds like a good idea, and they venture off to find Kevin and Paige. (Less)
