Fundamentalism anti-gay Train Bound for Hell?
Jesus spoke volumes about religious hypocrisy. He spoke out against the religious community that (More) Jesus spoke volumes about religious hypocrisy. He spoke out against the religious community that thought they had all the answers and thought they could be the gatekeepers to the Kingdom of God. Nothing hurts Jesus more than the religious fundamentalists who shut off the Kingdom of heaven to those they say can't enter. Jesus rebuked His own Disciples when they seen children apporoaching Jesus and forbade them to get near Him. Jesus got upset and put the disciples in their place by saying, "Do not hinder the little Children from coming unto me, for such is the kingdom of Heaven." Jesus said if you are not like this child, humble, not prejudiced and not discriminatory, then you will enter into the Kingdom. I can see right through the fundamentalist religious mess and it is really, really sad. It hurts me to see people so blind and blissfully ignorant. Jesus made it clear how he wanted His followers to behave but they are the opposite, most all of them. They are judges and gatekeepers, they decide who can enter into the churches. They lay down the rules, they are the scripture interpreters as the scribes and Pharisees were. The gay community has been shut off from the Kingdom of God because of these religious fundamentalists. Every time I turned on the TV, or listened to the radio or got on the internet I seen the anti-gay statements being made. This is all a form of prejudice and has no part in the church. Sexual orientation is hard-wired into humans and millions of testimonies can validate that. The proof is all out there. I am living proof. Every gay suicide, beating, persecution, and every bout of depression and rejection a gay person goes through is PROOF THAT BEING ANTI-GAY is ANTI-GOD!! How can the fundamentalists sleep at night? DO they not know the daily trail of hurt, pain, misery and death they are causing every day just because of their anti-gay views? What does it hurt to love someone regardless of sexual orientation? What does gay marriage hurt? Nothing. It helps balance society. Anti-gay views have caused so much psychological terror in individuals and it takes a toll on anyone. Even christian parents who have gay children put so much pressure on them to change and they know they can't because they can't change their sexual orientation anymore than their hair color. When will the world discover this?? There is definitely a mental block in the fundamentalist movement and I am afraid bad interpretations of the Bible have resulted in the hell inflicted upon innocent souls. Oh my God, all the lost lives of Gay people everywhere and all the suffering they go through because of this anti-gay agenda is outrageous. This is pure hate and discrimination and Jesus is not going to let it slide by. The Fundamentalists are on a train not bound for glory but for hell if they do not discard their anti-gay views quickly. It is sad to see america so hypocritical despite us having a constitution which would give us rights and not take them away. America is behind and I pray and hope the political landscape will continue to move forward in all the elected officials of the future. It is time for real change and I think the young people know that and they are not going to be fooled by old-fashioned teachings, the Pharisees/fundamentalists try to cram down our throats. For God's sake people are dying daily under that oppressive spirit of fundamentalism. That is the real war on terror we should be engaged in. God help us. I prayed long time ago that if God wants to use me to say something and help out in this issue I will do it. And so I am. (Less)
