James Bond The ultimate James Bond fanfilm, from opening gun barrel to title sequence to ending credits, and my entry to the '007 Falcon Film Festivals. "A New Way to Die", from producer/writer/director/actor Sean M. Cogan ("Toby", "Max Calibre"), tells an untold chapter of the legend of Commander James Bond, Agent 007 of Her Majesty's Secret Service. Although young, James Bond has already surpassed the average life expectancy of a man in his career: he's a member of the 00-division of MI6. The 00-division is made up of elite agents assigned to take on only the greatest threats to national security and therefore given a license to kill. 007 is already something of a legend in the division, having taken on master criminals Dr. No and Goldfinger, and romanced women like Pussy Galore. But nothing can prepare Bond for his latest mission . . . When a world famous scientist carrying a deadly secret is abducted, 007 teams up with a stunning CIA agent (Brittany Waterman) and Aussie Fed (Breanna Keeling) and races from Austria to Australia to battle evil scientists Angel and Damion (Alyssa Curry and Jeremy Sheer) to recover a formula that can turn men into monsters. Stage actress Breanna Keeling, who appeared in TTO's production of "Charley's Aunt" and is currently appearing in "The Mouse That Roared" plays the primary Bond girl, Chief Inspector Britannia Fox. The lovely Brittany Waterman plays Agent Iva Hotbod, a charming but cooly competent operative for the Central Intelligence Agency. Playing the essential role of the "bad Bond girl" is Alyssa Curry. Originally approached for the lead role of Britannia Fox, Heather Deich (nee' Kelly) plays the role of Miss Moneypenny, Bond's loyalest admirer and faithful gal pal at the office. And before anyone asks, the movie has an almost entirely original soundtrack, with the exception of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9(played during the galla scene in the teaser), a piece from Bizet's "Carmen" (during the Sydney Opera House scene), and the version of The James Bond Theme that plays as Bond's ringtone at the end. The rest of the score, including the remix of the Bond theme, is by Jeremiah "Jizreal" Larkin, and the theme song is composed by Brennan Doud and yours truly. (Less)
