JLAV2 If you viewed my version of the JLA, you know it was actually my uncle's version. This one is (More) If you viewed my version of the JLA, you know it was actually my uncle's version. This one is truly my version. Probably because of my uncle's influence it is mostly silver-aged based. It melds the DC and Marvel universes, along with pieces of others. It revolves around 24 members. Chief among them are 3 heroes who represent the old Truth, Justice, and American Way ideals. Superman=Truth, as he is the most wholesome, he is the first, he is the truth. Batman=Justice, as anyone else living through what he did would become an instrument of vengeance, but Batman became one of Justice, atleast his vision of justice. That leaves the American way which = Captain America of course. Cap in my universe is the only hero of the golden age. He is the leader of the team, although he relies heavily on Supes and Bats, who both have opposition to the idea of the League for their own personal reasons. The other members are Hawkman( a combo of Katar Hol, Thanagarian, and the reincarnation of Prince Khufu from the golden age version), Sub-Mariner(who, along with Supes were the very first super-beings and met as young men), Green Lantern(Hal Jordan version), Flash(Barry Allen), Atom(Ray Palmer), Wonder Woman, Green Arrow(with subtle changes), Martian Manhunter, Plastic Man, Black Canary(Dinah Drake)(who in my version is a silver age hero, not golden age)), Spider-Man(the youngest and the Heart of the League), Thor, Iron Man, Giant-Man(Henry Pym) (In my version he is only Giant-Man, not Ant-Man, Yellow Jacket, etc.)Human Torch(Jim Hammond) (In my version he is the android, but he is a silver age hero not golden age, and there is no Fantastic Four or new Torch), Daredevil, Captain Marvel(Marvel's orginal Kree version), Hulk, Doctor Strange, as well as Charlton's Blue Beetle(Ted Kord), and Gold Key's Solar(but more in line with the Valiant version, i.e., Phil Selenski. There are other elements involved, including Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. which in my version means Super Human Intelligence, Espionage, and Legalities Department. Also the beginnings of this JLA would be played out in a 12 issue maxi-series, involving S.H.I.E.L.D. ressurecting Captain America to gather and lead Earth's greatest heroes against an alien threat, namely the invasion of the Kree. Lex Luthor would be involved, as would a group of super-villians, each an arch-foe of each of the JLA, known as the Legion of Doom, whom we would find out would have as their leader Doctor Victor Von Doom, who in my version was Germany's leading scientist who battled Captain America many times and still lives thanks to the life giving armor he is now trapped inside. We'd also realized as devastating as the Kree invasion is, that there is a sub-plot that involves two beings, both known by many names, one good and one very evil. One is the wizard known as Shazam, once known as Krona, the Oan that breached the rift of time and space to glimpse the beginning of all and touch the face of god, and caused magic both white and black to explode into the universe causing a great expansion and introduced war and evil into a once peaceful universe, then becoming the Champion to battle 7 of the elders who became embodiments of the seven deadly sins, once growing to old he looked for a successor as the wizard Nabu in ancient Egypt which brought him into the lives of Prince Khufu and his love, Shayera, as well as as an evil one, he then became the Ancient One of Tibet, who was sought out by a young Bruce Wayne, raised a cursed young Dinah Drake and taught her martial arts which helped her control the sonic scream with which she was cursed, and taught both Stephen Strange and an evil one the ways of magic, finally as his true self, namely Shazam, he once again sought a replacement, which brings us to the other one. First he was Teth-Adam, competitor to Prince Khufu, who thanks to Nabu became immortal, he lived many years under many names, until WWII as Vandal Savage he battled Captain America, then as Ras al Ghul he taught Bruce Wayne, and as Baron Mordo sought out the Ancient One disguised as a willing student. More recently he became the ultra-leader of the Serpent Cult, known as Kobra. That eventually lead him back to the Ancient One and upon discovering and speaking his real name of Shazam became Black Adam a being of incredible power. Once the JLA vanguished all these, and broke away from Nick Fury's control, they truly became a team, but the worst would be yet to come, because during the battle with Black Adam, Shazam was killed, and his replacement was not to be, meaning that he who had held the living seven deadly sins at bay could no longer stop them. In their very first advaneture they would face the first of these beings, namely Galactus, which of course represents the deadly sin of gluttony.
