PC - Wolfenstein 3D - E5M7 100% Video Description: A run-through of Episode 5 Level 7 on (More) Description: A run-through of Episode 5 Level 7 on Death Incarnate difficulty, starting with pistol + 8 bullets, obtaining 100% kills/treasure/secrets. Recording Method: Made a ZMBV with DOSBox 0.70. Loaded it in VirtualDubMod, created a WAV file of the audio and converted it to MP3 with Lame, and fast recompressed the video using the XviD codec. Comments: OMG SO MUCH SS. My favorite of the episode, hands down. Sort of like E3M8, but much more difficult. Yes, I know, what I do at the beginning is just nuts, but the alternative is to wait by the elevator and snipe at the guards; the problem with that is that some of them will open doors and alert other enemies all around the level. You need a lot of luck to get out of this one alive... I then differ from zirblazer's video a bit, taking the gold key from the front. This run would be faster if I were to use the secret door like he did, but I wanted to do something a little different. Adds to the challenge, especially since my health is still low from that first encounter! Then it's a maze of enemies, with a pushwall containing the chaingun, then the blue stone section. Here, the moment you fire a shot, officers & SS pour out of all 3 doors. Make it through this, and you'll be rewarded with the silver key and a secret door with all sorts of goodies which you WILL need. You see, they saved the best for last. In the red brick room, you'll see a guard or two. Kill one, and EVERY DOOR will open, an SS right behind it, all of them firing right at you. A couple officers are in on the fun, as well. If you can beat all of them, you will receive yet more treasure/health/ammo, and again you will need it. For behind that last locked door is a long passageway with one final large group of SS right in front of you. Shoot 'em down, take out one more guy in the elevator, and you'll finally be done with this mutha! There's only 73 enemies in this level IIRC, but it feels like 120. Episode 5 in general is like this - I think the rooms are just more tightly packed with soldiers, and there's a higher percentage of officers & SS. This level definitely best embodies the main design concepts of this episode IMO. (Less)
