Athrun vs Kira again (Saviour vs Freedom) there they go again.
well i used the same infinite hit combo for Blast Impulse and Abyss and (More) there they go again.
well i used the same infinite hit combo for Blast Impulse and Abyss and applied it here. as you can see it really relies on thrusters, and so does BImpulse, but Bimpulse doesn't consume thrusters while it blasts things....
well, if fighting Freedom using Justice was annoying, then fighting using Saviour is utterly frustrating. i figured out why Saviour is so hard to handle, it's his melee attacks, the attacks i rely on most. its his attack's range, i'll explain in a bit. his attacks on the ground is alright but when you try to take the battle to the sky then the problems come.
when i say range i don't mean how far his sabers reach, cuz his sabers do a pretty good job with distance, it's the area that it covers that's the problem. for an easy example look at Duel, in the sky in both its melee attacks, the sabers swing in an arc, in a round curve. that's covering some area, for more examples look at Providence and Justice. Saviour's moves though, its all straight and precise, it's all accurate pokes, and stabs in straight lines. so it's got the same reaching distance but none of the area covering advantage the sabers are supposed to give. so YOU are supposed to get yourself into position to hit the enemy, a little higher or lower and you might miss. that explains why Chaos was annoying.
another weakness is the backward L combo. if you miss with an automatic combo, you get burned, if you hit then its good to finish off combos, but the problem is when it pushes the enemy away faster than Saviour can advance forward, you saw what happened early in the match. it's damage is puny too.
and well i COULD just ignore the Saviour's weaknesses and go attack like crazy, but that's just called SUICIDE when you play with the settings i used, Saviour is easier to handle than Forbidden, yeah, but still is a unit for the more experienced players. come to think of it all of Athrun's units here are for the decent players, Kira's are both for beginners. Saviour is debatably Athrun's worst unit here, against freedom, and if you try to avoid taking damage, you will mostly poke him to death. so i try to go with the rifle and avoid the infin. combo.
its positive sides? the fast rifle draw , the fast hits and the mobile armor mode. you saw the Gangsta drive-by shooting right?
"the red knight"? yeah, similar to jousting, but, the Saviour should be called "The Red HITMAN".
and another awesome combo i did i couldn't work it into the match there, but i show you it gets you about the same number of hits as the infinite hit combo on 130% thrusters. i could get the combo up to 40 hits if i tried hard enough, but i'm lazy :P
----------------------
R.B (air melee) + B (4x) + forward B (2x) + B + forward B + backward L (COUNT 5 hits) + down L (SEED MODE)
R.B (air melee) + B (3x) + down B + forward B (2 hits) + down L (Ultimate Attack. go hit-and-run!)!

and the music? hehe i got tired of the game's music and downloaded the soundtrack from the show, and added them to the match. you can expect more matches in the future featuring GSD music.
the credit for the music goes to their respective music artists and composers and the video is totally mine. Enjoy! (Less)
