The Incredible HULK statue (Jim Sweet) movie 1 2 Ed Norton Incase you don't read the whole description go here to see more of my other stuff (More) Incase you don't read the whole description go here to see more of my other stuff http://www.myspace.com/jimmisweet This video is not suppose to be an entertaining story or anything. It's was simply made purely just to show the sculpture I made in all different views. I don't know about you but I like to see more then a still photograph of something, so I made this video to offer more to who or whom is or are interested in seeing my statue more then just in a still photo. So with that being said, there is more info below. It seems I needed to make that clearer even though I thought it was obvious. This is my version of the way I'd like to see the HULK in a Hollywood movie. I sculpted him back in 1998, that was way before the movie came out. I didn't really like the way he looked in the movie. I don't think he was monster enough. I thought he was to handsome. Maybe my version is too muscular like a bodybuilder, but I was thinking if the Hulk is suppose to be super strong I would think evey muslce in his body would be over developed. I've seen other versions and I'm starting to think he should be more animal like much like a gorilla that is super strong as it is and it doesn't have over developed muscles just that natural animal strength. If you couldn't tell, I like muscles. I learned partly to draw muscles by drawing the Hulk. Muscles are a tricky thing to draw because they change with different poses. Sometimes they're flexed hard, sometimes they're relaxed or stretched and squashed. I like powerful strong things like gorillas. I'm amazed at how much strength they really have. Well I think that's also why I like the Hulk. Other reasons I like him is he's a man with super powers in a way. He can change and he is a mean powerful monster. All these things I like. The statue itself is made out of "super sculpey clay" (about five pounds worth) you can bake hard in a conventional oven. There is a metal wire frame underneath which helps support the clay. I baked the teeth, eyes, finger nails and toe nails separately and the I added them to the sculpture when it was soft. Then I baked it and just painted the whole thing with acrylic paints. When painting the pants I dabbed on baby powder to the wet paint to give it a dry fabric look. The pants are clay too, except for the little strings I added to make them look frayed. It's as easy as that. I gave him the eyes from the T.V. show, that stared Lou Ferrigno, which I liked and I think it makes him look meaner. I also gave him slight over sized hands and feet like in the comic books. Made of Super Sculpey clay, wood, metal and acrylic paints--about 12" high--sculpted in 1998--age 28--available to own for a certain amount of money even though I would like to keep it forever. Hulk statue not really for sale unless it's an offer I can't refuse then I might change my mind. It's not the new trailer but I'll add these words if it might help my video appear in the search engines when people look for the new trailer.
