So what's so exiting about (More) http://www.mlmresourcenetwork.com Today I bought a microphone. So what's so exiting about that. Well, I was reminded of a sales technique that works like a charm. Usually I'm the one who's implementing it to sell to others. Today however it was implemented on me and I'm not complaining. At this point I use this technique without even thinking about it and that's what I mean when I say " I was reminded. For some time now I wanted to buy one of those big old fashion microphones. I was planning to go to Amazon or eBay to compare prices and see the selections and eventually order it. Since this particular item is not one of life's essentials, I never got around to it. Today I was going about my business when I walked by a small electronics store which sold mics along with other electronic merchandise. So I decided to go in to see the selection of these old fashion mics available in this store. Keep in mind, I walked in with no intention of buying a mic. Upon me entering the sales man behind the counter (who probably was the owner, considering the size of the store) asked me what I was interested in seeing so I told him and he first showed me a wireless microphone that comes with a stand which went for $79. After I realize that it wasn't rechargeable aid that I have no Patience to keep on changing the batteries. So the sales man went on to show me another moder with a wire for $35. I was taking a look at it and it's features and adapters while the nice salesman was taking a call from a customer. After he finished his phone conversation I thanked him for his time and courtesy and started to make my way to to the door which is when the he asked me the following question "Did you like the microphone?" to which I answered "Yes" so he went on to ask " If you liked the microphone why then did you put it back on the shelf?". He asked the question while looking me straight in the eyes and he kept looking in my eyes with his mouth shut until I replied saying "You're right". I took the mic of the shelf again, put it on the counter and paid for it. Knowingly or not, this guy used a sales technique that professional salesman use all the time. I found out about it by reading the book "How I Raised Myself Fro Failure to Success In Selling" by FrankBetger. Fresh network marketers and direct salesman often expect the prospect to ask whether they accept cash or credit after making the sales presentation. What you should do is ask the prospect if they want to use cash or credit. If you see that the prospect is hesitating to buy or join the opportunity you should ask them them what's keeping them back. And if they give you an answer make sure to ask if there are any other reasons, because the first reason they give you is just a cover up fro the real reason. One way to use this technique and still mess it up is by continuing to talk after you've asked the question. Often we feel tempted to keep on talking to break theaquard pause. This kills the entire. What the question accomplishes is a suttle yet an effective call to action. But when you open your mouth again usually going on about the reasons that the prospect should buy the product, you're giving him the impression that you're trying to sell him. And every human being has a natural resistance to being sold. Here it is again in short: " Ask WHY and keep you're mouth Shut until the prospect replies no matter how long it takes!". In conclusion, even if this mic was worthless (and it's not) it still would be would be worth it just because I was reminded of this little tip. The tip may be little but it may bring you a lot Cash if used constantly especially considering that it works with a $350 item as well. And when recruiting for yourdownline this little tip may earn you residuals for a long time. (Less)
