It was the second year anniversary of their relationship. It had been 2 weeks they didn't see each other, because he was busy at work, he was a workaholic, his job was his priority. But she always tried to understand. She decided to go over his place, preparing dinner for them, he promised that he would be there. She waited for him to go home, happily setting up the table and everything, finally she could see him. But time went by; the meal she prepared didn't look the same anymore. It had been 4 hours from the time he promised he would be there. She tried to call, but it reached his voicemail, he was at the meeting. She started to cry, why was this had to be so hard? She always told herself to be faithful, to be patient, to understand him. But this time, she felt too tired to be strong, to pretend that she was tough enough, that she could survive. Maybe she was just a burden to him; maybe he would be better without her. She wrote down a message to him, "I'm sorry that I'm leaving now. Sorry for not being able to understand you."
After meeting, he went back to him office; he still got paperwork to do. Then the calendar caught his attention; suddenly he remembered their anniversary day, and also his promise to her. He rushed home, trying to find her in his house, but she was nowhere. He saw the meal she prepared and a note was left there. He rushed out from his house, trying to look for her, but she was gone. He tried to call her. He could remember her last words for him, "listen, Edison... I mean it. And I'm sorry for that... I just can't do this anymore." After that, he tried to call her again, but it only took him to right her voicemail. He went to her house, but she wasn't there, he went to all of the places that he thought she might be there, but he still couldn't find her.
Day passed by; it had been a month since she left him. The worst moment of his life, and he just realized how important she was to him. He could still feel her everywhere, but every time he tried to reach her, he realized that it wasn't real. That hurt him more than anything. He couldn't sleep well, he couldn't concentrate on his work, and he couldn't live well. He was lost without her. It was because of her, he became a real man, and she completed him. Everyday he kept on wondering, how could he move on? He had lost his entire desire. When he slept, he dreamt of her. He dreamt of them getting married, he could see how beautiful she was in the wedding dress that she planned to wear in their wedding next year, he could see her smiling at him, the most beautiful smile he ever seen. When he woke up, it made him felt totally miserable, realizing that he had lost her.
She tried to move on with her life after she decided to leave. But she couldn't afford to do so; she could only pretend that she had moved on. It hurt her badly. Especially when she dreamt about him, it was a dream of their first date. When she opened her eyes, she started to think of him again, first time they met, their first kiss. She couldn't control herself anymore. She reached her phone and dialed his number; she wanted badly to see him.
When she saw him stepped into that place, it hurt her even worse. He was different, he looked like a mess, and he wasn't that confident guy anymore. She was a failure; she wasn't worth to be with him. She was supposed to support him if she really loved him, but she left. Maybe it was right for her to leave. He deserved better. When she decided to leave again, suddenly he caught her hand. He whispered to her weakly, "please don't leave me, I can't go on without you by my side." She started to cry when he brought her to his embrace. She realized that she would really be a failure if she leaves him ever again.
