Once again, there is another part, Tools, which can be taken out with the help of Air Anchor. The problem is, it is very likely that Tools will act before you and use Diffuser, which is an unblockable lightning-elemental attack which takes out everyone without the Thunder Shield on, healing Celes. Why not wear Thunder Shields then, you may ask? First of all, wearing a Thunder Shield lets you *absorb* Diffuser rather than take no damage from it. Your characters will be back to full health and when Hit, the part that does nothing but use weak physicals repeatedly, will take out a party member and Celes with her True Knight relic will be able to do nothing about, as she only protects those at critical health. Second, the Tiger part often uses Flare Star and equipping an Ice Shield makes the damage void. I therefore opted for Ice Shield on Edgar, Strago and Gogo and had to reset a few times so that Diffuser wasn't used. Once Tools is gone, you may opt to get rid of either Magic who keeps casting all kinds of spells, all of which can be runic'd, or concentrate your attacks on the much more dangerous Tiger, who has nasty tricks up his sleeve, including the ability to freeze party members. If that ever happens, toss a Fire Rod at the victim, which will not kill anyone thanks to our shield. I had Edgar frozen and didn't believe there was a point in wasting a turn for unfreezing him. He did his job in this tier anyway. Get rid of Tiger, then Magic and finally Hit. Hit will use 10 physicals in a row during his death counter, all of which Celes will take and avoid. We then ascend even higher and face the third tier. Girl has 9999 HP and as such can be taken down extremely quickly with Strago casting a 5K+ Step Mine and Gogo mimicking him (he'll get to rage Io later). The next thing you want to do now is debilitating Sleep to fire and pearl. The reason for that is that once Sleep reaches roughly 10K it chooses to use nothing but Meteo, which is blockable, yet extremely annoying as Runic doesn't seem to absorb it. You definitely want to do the maths so that Sleep dies before he gets to use Meteo even once. I made two mistakes in this part, one was calculating the damage wrongly, meaning I did see Meteo but had unusual luck. Can you spot my second mistake? Another thing I should note is that Sleep has a skill entitled Train which sets Mute on the entire party. You definitely don't want either Strago or Gogo to to be muted, so heal immediately. I made some mistakes during this party, but I suppose it wouldn't be as fun to watch if it was too sterile and had no flaws. The third tier is defeated and we oppose Kefka in his final form to rid the world of evil once and for all. Kefka begins by using Fallen One, reducing everyone's HP to 1. Should we panick? Definitely not. Any low level gamer knows that it doesn't matter if you have one HP or one hundred, when the damage you receive is far superior. Kefka may use level 3 elemental spells at this stage, so Runic is an appropriate measure for the time being. Meanwhiel, Edgar and Gogo debilitate the boss to fire and pearl. Fire is more important as we're about to start abusing Flare Star for 9999 damage per casting, but Pearl is just as vital since both Edgar and Celes will soon jump in the air and may get a Pearl casting upon landing. Once that is done, we begin our aggressive tactics. Io is raged and Strago rages Step Mine until Kefka notifies us of the end that comes beyond chaos. This is the time where we should wait a bit and jump with Celes, Edgar and Strago. The most powerful attack in the game, Goner, ensues and kills Gogo for the lack of anyone else to kill. The party lands on Kefka and Edgar gets lucky with a random Pearl casting. At around 8K HP, Kefka begins using Meteor, which is unblockable and may catch the jumpers before they get to hide again. You need to either get lucky or calculate the damage so that Kefka doesn't get a turn in this critical state. It's not visible in the video, of course, but I made sure Kefka had enough HP to die from two Step Mines, yet still too much to begin using Meteor. And thus the epic confrontation is over and the low level party beats the game. Yay! (Less)
