help for those having video upload problems on... New information to help those still having (More) New information to help those still having problems and those that cannot find Internet Explorer on their computers: I DID get a video uploaded using FireFox browser. It just recently updated again. I am using 2.0.0.11. To find out if yours is update click on the Help tab on it Then click on 'about Firefox'. I have mine set to automatically update when needed but I realize not everyone does and many want to do that themselves. At any rate firefox is no longer stopping video's from being uploaded on here. yea! :) For further help: If you are stuck on 'connecting' its probably going to take hours to load (and may not load at all)..if you get 'undefined' after while then it won't load at all. If you are using Windows movie maker and saving your movies on there, try this: Right Click on a blank place on your desktop, a pop up window will come on and one of the options is to make a new folder. Select that and name it "video's". When you make a new video using windows movie maker (I would assume you could do this with other video programs also), when selecting where to save it, select the video folder on your desktop. WMM will save it to its file anyway. If you already have a video you can't upload (which is the case with most here find it and right click on it to move it to the video folder on the desktop. One thing I do is always play the movie (which is an option windows movie maker gives you after you have saved it) on real play to make sure its ok. It will save that movie on your desktop where you can click on it and move it to the video folder you made also. I notice that youtube will upload the video's from this folder with no problems and many times not the video's right from windows movie maker..have no clue as to why since its the same thing. Also MAKE SURE, after you watch your movie on real play or whatever, you CLOSE it...otherwise youtube won't upload it. Says the video is "being used by another program." For this reason I make sure WMM is closed too before upload on YT. If you get this message on Youtube when you upload the video: "PLEASE BE PATIENT—THIS MAY TAKE SEVERAL MINUTES. ONCE COMPLETED, YOU WILL SEE A CONFIRMATION MESSAGE." that is a good sign that is really is loading, but remember it can take up to eight hours (says youtube) for a video to load. From their help on video uploading: "Processing time varies greatly depending on the format of your original video, file size, and upload traffic. This could take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. If after 8 hours you still see a status message next to the video saying "Uploaded (processing, please wait)," try removing the video from our site and uploading it again." (I think this part make no sense...how can you remove a video that didn't upload in the first place?) just hit the back arrow. Or click on help connecting. Continuing from youtube help: "Make sure your video is under 10 minutes in length. We accept most video file formats, including .wmv, .mov, .mpg, or .avi. If your video meets these minimum requirements and still won't upload, there may be a problem with the video compression you're using. We recommend the MPEG4 format at 640x480 resolution with MP3 audio." (Less)

If you have Windows Vista, you need to look for "publish it to your document" on Windows Movie Maker to save your video on.
