Two Brothers/The Scorpions with Suzi Jari - Joe Meek Concert Recorded at the Joe Meek Fest - February 3rd 2007 at The Wyllyotts Theatre, Potters Bar. This clip (More) Recorded at the Joe Meek Fest - February 3rd 2007 at The Wyllyotts Theatre, Potters Bar. This clip is of The Scorpions (not the German band) AKA The Ferridays, playing their self-penned "Two Brothers" which Joe Meek recorded in 1962. Two Brothers was unfortunately not released, but was discovered amongst the infamous tea-chest tapes. This clip is taken from a DVD of the complete concert which was held to commemorate the 40 anniversary of Joe's death, and to celebrate his musical legacy.
Two brothers was in the top ten Joe Meek tracks of all time, along with "Johnny Remember Me", "Telstar", "Tribute To Buddy Holly", "Have I The Right?" etc in Record Collector Magazine February 2007.
All three original members of The Scorpions, Ted Barber, John Barber & Ivor Knight were performing, with the addition of Keith Strickland (Bass) and the wonderful Suzi Jari (vocals) The original Meek recording is now available on "ANTHOLOGY 1959-1965" CD on Wooden Hill Records.
Follow this link to "Jungle Street" a previously unreleased track recorded by The Scorpions at Abbey Road in 1961, played over the introduction sequence of the 1961 film.
