Teaser for "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath" This short teaser was produced from early art scans and introduces "The Dream-Quest of Unknown (More) This short teaser was produced from early art scans and introduces "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath", a 100-minute animated movie based on the novel by H. P. Lovecraft. The animation is fairly simple in the movie (although better than the teaser), mostly because we knew going in that we weren't making "Final Fantasy," just focusing on having a great time making a fun movie. The DVD is currently available from www.Guerrilla-Productions.org or via Amazon.com
We're also in post production on another feature, this one live-action, called "Flesh of my Flesh," and you can find teasers for that in this same account. (Less)
Beyond Kadath Part 1 06 JUN 2005 H.P. Lowell Institute for Paranormal Research 1304 Innsmouth Drive Arkham, MA 01924 (More) 06 JUN 2005 H.P. Lowell Institute for Paranormal Research 1304 Innsmouth Drive Arkham, MA 01924 The situation is dire yet still I must pause to write, to record the events I have witnessed during the last three years. The world deserves to know what we have foisted upon through blind scientific ambition and clutching minds whose fumbling reach far outstripped their grasp. Henry was a brilliant fool. I continue to admire the man--his sharp wit, his intellect--despite his damnable fixation to tease apart the fibers of the unknown without regard to what might be patiently waiting on the darker side of knowledge. I hate him as well, and myself, for what we have done. No matter; Henry is dead, killed while trying to correct a mistake that began the day the Aude Sapere Project was conceived. My nightmare begins simply enough. I was fresh from University, the ink barely dry on my newly-minted PhD. What I labored over for years there at Miskatonic isnít important. One autumn morning I received a call from my old advisor and was given the good news that my curriculum vitae was perfect for a project Dr. Lowell was organizing. I was dumbstruck. That a scientist of Doctor Henry Phineas Lowellís eminence wanted me, a relatively unknown scientist, as an assistant researcher was my young egoís delight, and a fine reward for all my hard work. Only later, as I left the Institute, did I realize that I had accepted a position with no idea what the area of study would be nor the part I would play in the research. Not that I cared; I went home, told my wife the good news, and we spent a joyous evening together, excited by what the future might hold. Time grows short, and I must restrict my writing to the facts. An archeological team, under the leadership of Dr. Lowell, discovered something wildly unexpected during a routine dig in the mountains of Tennessee. The artifact was a large stone tablet covered with unknown glyphs and runes and buried at the entrance of what appeared to be an antediluvian burial chamber. The Institute was contacted immediately and a team of specialists was sent to recover the tablet and secure the site. I was one of the specialists. An abandoned sewer system that lay nearby was quickly purchased and converted into a base of operations as it was near the dig site and already punched deeply into the mountains. The arcane tablet was preserved and studied for over a year. The rough translation told of Kadath, a temple and burial site of a long-forgotten race. Of what lay buried there in the endless blackness, the tablet would not say, but hinted at an unspeakable horror. I was the researcher who finally discovered that the tablet was not merely a chronicle but was also a magical seal, a hastily-chiseled ward against something waiting there in the dark amid the gnawing worms and insects. Dr. Lowell had a number of wealthy benefactors who were intensely interested in his continued progress and my warnings went unheeded. Their financing allowed the Institute to expand the sewer into a massive underground complex. The scientists pushed deeper and deeper into the mountain, seeking the temple. I was given a raise and full control over the department that translated the artifacts being brought up almost daily from the caverns. I no longer voiced any objections. (Less)
