So my friends Davey, Danny, & I called up a place called "Krazy Kaplins" and a young teenager pickup up the phone and said, "What's sup?" I asked for there hours and he questionably said six or sevenish. being already 5:00PM we left for Indiana with Google Maps as our guide and a rush of western suburban joy rushing through our blood. On our way to this Krazy Kaplins place the one thing we all noticed was a LOT of county and state police were out and about. Being a little nervous and with a broken speedometer I kept to the rules of the road. Another thing that held us back from time was indefinitely the traffic. Illinois is known for some of the worst road condition's located in the country and so there is continuous road work where ever you travel. While driving to got get our bundles of joy we kept on seeing signs that said Krazy Kaplins TURN LEFT NOW or NEXT EXIT. But for some reason; we got lost and did not make it in time:(. So pursued to find fireworks we kept on traveling across the Interstate hoping to see more fireworks signs. We soon gave up on traveling through Indiana because we it was just getting later and darker and no fireworks store would be open this late in the middle of the year. So we took the next exit off of I-80 to turn around when we saw a picket sign (like the ones you see in peoples lawns for garage sales) that said, "FIREWORKS OPEN 24 Hours a Day! So as we looked at the sign we looked ahead and saw another sign that said turn right now. So we did and found this house that was pretty much and literally overflowing with fireworks. We pull into there so called driveway and there was an assembly line of men taking boxes off a truck and bringing them down to the cellar. And yes I am talking about a cellar where you have to walk around to the side of your house to get into the basement. As we get out of the car one of them men ask us, "You here for fireworks?" We all said, "yes" at the same time and then he told us go around in back. A little worried we followed another man who led us to the back of the house. He stopped at this door and took a padlock off it. (they use padlocks to lock there doors?) As we are walking up the stairs I turn behind me to Davey and Danny and run my finger across my neck as a sign that I think this guy is going to kill us. When we get to the top of the stairs another lock has yet to be removed to another door. When that unlocks he courts us in and when my eyes first laid sight on this upper part of the houses belongs, I had forgotten all about the locks, the doors, and the sketchy location of this house. There were fireworks honestly and literally in every single corner. It was virtually impossible if you wanted to go around someone because this place was jammed pack with fireworks. This guy started talking to us telling us how he has been in the business for 40 years and how he promises lowest prices guaranteed. He also promised us that he had everything that we would want. and he honestly meant "everything"!! After we all had our time drooling over everything that we had and could of had he gave us an incredible price and we left as happy as a child coming out of a candy store. This man also told us that out in backyard, he had some PVC pipes already rigged to shoot bottle rockets and what not. He said if we please we could shoot off as many fireworks as we like. We had our fun and still had THOUSANDS left over. If you watch the video above the rest is pretty self-explanatory. I hope you enjoy! (Less)
