Lard ist eine 1989 durch Jello Biafra (Gesang), Alain Jourgensen (Gitarre), Paul Barker (E-Bass) und Jeff Ward (Schlagzeug) gegründete Hardcore-Punk-/Industrial-Rock-Band. Biafra ist besser bekannt als Leadsänger der Dead Kennedys. Jourgensen und Barker sind Gründungsmitglieder der Industrial-Metal-Band Ministry, zu der auch Ward gehörte. Im Laufe der Jahre haben noch einige andere Mitglieder von Ministry bei Lard mitgespielt, Bill Rieflin, Mike Scaccia, und Rey Washam. Lard er et amerikansk band som ble grunnlagt i 1989 av tidligere medlem av Dead Kennedys Jello Biafra (sang), Ministry-medlemmene Alain Jourgensen (gitar) og Paul Barker (bass), samt Nine Inch Nails-medlem Jeff Ward (trommer). Etter at Ward, som i årevis hadde slitt med narkotika-avhengighet, tok livet sitt i 1993 har bandet ikke hatt noen fast trommeslager. Flere andre medlemmer har også vært innom bandet.
