This passage sounds a lot like the description of our world today even though it was written nearly 2000 years ago. The passage is in reference to the Last Days which have been taking place since Jesus Christ rose from the dead. She explained sin and the gospel upon completion of the scripture reading. 1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. 6They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth. 8Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth—men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone. 10You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,11persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. 12In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 4 1In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. 6For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 3:1--2 Timothy 4:8 Repent of your sins. We are living in the last days, we are in dark times indeed. The Lord will not always be patient, His wrath abides even now on those who are disobedient, on those who reject His Son, Jesus Christ who died for the sins of all mankind. You do not have to die in your sins and go to Hell. You can repent. You can acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ as the only way, the truth and the life. The only way for you to inherit eternal salvation. You do not have to go to Hell Mill Ave. One lie is enough the send you there. Revelation 21:8 makes it very clear who goes to the Lake of Fire, if you are thief you are deserving of Hell. The Bibles tells us that none of us are good that all of us are unrighteous, but there is one who is righteous, one who is holy. One who is perfect. His name is Jesus Christ, He is the Son of the living God and is God himself in human flesh. He sits at the right hand of God the Father now to make intercession for all of those who call on His name. He lives for you. He wants you to turn from your sin, he wants you to be born again. He wants you to be holy as he is holy. He does not want you to die in your sins and go to hell. Please trust in his message while there is time. You do not know if tonight is your last night. You dont know how many moments or hours you have on this earth. He has sent people out here to preach the good news to you. Please listen, please open your ears, dont be hard hearted any longer. Turn from your sins and be saved while theres still time. Thank you, good night. (Less)
