Smurph), al dawe, mike phantom (actually scotish but close enough) and marco angelo (ok, he is america but we were short of brits to field). for the world team there were 6 americans, john wozniak, brian murphy, julie rackauskas, liz strom, jason, and aaron bellor. josh donohoe australia, jeff macmillan from canada, lucas from poland, CK from thailand and keith byrne from ireland. officiating was joe theriault and on camera was rebecca osborn.
the game was action packed and full of exciting football, although it took until the second half for the dead lock to be broken by a great solo effort from ben palmer to put the brits into the lead. the world team actually hit the frame of the goal 3 times, the first (in the first half), surely made the brits nervous, the second wasnt and easy chance although the target was gaping. shortly after the first goal ian moorehouse doubled the brits lead with a fantastic lob (it looked flukey but with talents like the king of fun it is doubtfull) to win the game.
smurphs man of the match...pat howes, being englands rock at the back was key to the brits success, especially having to deal with the pace and trickery of racka and the strom. (Less)
