The Rocky series of movies tells the story of Rocky Balboa, who - in the first movie - was a struggling Philadelpia boxer who got a one-in-a-million shot at the heavyweight title. Rocky was played with heart and guts by Sylvester Stallone. He also created the character and story, which were both based on the struggles he was going through as an actor and writer, as well as Chuck Wepner, who went the distance against Muhammed Ali.
