GRAYSON
Michael and Tony Edser are Grayson, and they have something special to give to music.
The year was 1982 and, along with bad fashion, Australia experienced Split Enz's brilliance, the 1 album Time and Tide, made by the famous musical brothers Neil and Tim Finn. It was one sunny day during this year that Michael and Tony Edser were born, and Australia's set to experience more musical brilliance by another pair of brothers.
Before they were even 6, Michael and Tony started learning and playing guitar together and creating the harmonies that only twins can produce. It is this lifetime of music, of growing together in their quiet suburban home on Grayson Avenue, and their intense passion for music that produces something magical when they perform.
Now, with over 20years playing and life experience, the brothers have a huge repertoire of originals, classics and modern hits. Walk into any Grayson gig, and you'll hear the sounds of The Beatles, Eskimo Joe, Van Morrison, Bernard Fanning, Fuel, Missy Higgins, Coldplay, The Proclaimers, or Matchbox 20, just to name a few. You might even hear something new. Be it a new take on a hit song, or a direct cover of a classic, or an original with catchy lyrics and a seamless blend of vocals, Grayson continues to impress audiences with their amazing sound.
Live on stage, you can be assured of a good show. You can sense the brotherly love as they joke to each other throughout the entire show. You can witness the freakish improvisation that the other twin brother always picks up and complements instantly. And you will always see a sincere enjoyment of playing music for you, and this enjoyment will spread through the room like the music they're playing. Yes, Grayson will always entertain and amaze with something unique and something more than your typical music duo.
Having supported some of Australia's best acts—such as Rick Price, Daryl Braithwaite, Ian Moss and Motor Ace to name a few—there is no doubt that Grayson are destined for great things. A requested act at some of Newcastle's most popular venues, Grayson will bring beautiful vocals, brilliant guitar play, sometimes a keyboard for something different, and a passion that will infect the room.
Make sure you don't miss hearing the brilliance that is Grayson.

Buddy Holly - Modern Don Juan Guitar Solo Someone emailed me to ask if I could play this solo for them - so here is my best effort. The solo (More) Someone emailed me to ask if I could play this solo for them - so here is my best effort. The solo was originally played by Grady Martin on the last of Buddy Holly's Nashville sessions for Decca records in 1956. The song was written by Don Guess & Jack Neal, two of Buddy Holly's early musical collaborators. I think it's a really nice blues guitar solo, played at the 12th fret using the E minor pentatonic scale. (Less)
