Electronic Music: Absinthe-Timman (Live Analog Action Edit) Now this is what it's all about: Absinthe-timman. The conceptualization, composing and (More) Now this is what it's all about: Absinthe-timman. The conceptualization, composing and recording of this track took well over a year to realize and it's by far the most ambitious of Infantilt Inferno's musical creations.
This particular version is the live-analog-action edition, which features clarinet improvisations, squarewave-arpeggio sections and live precussion elements not featured in the more vanguard recorded versions.
The concept of the work focuses on the famous Swedish author August Strindberg's Inferno period. This entire episode is regarded as one of the more infamous absinthe-related breakdowns, right up there with Van Gogh's exotic loveletters.
During this period, Strinberg lived in exile from Sweden and during his stay in Paris became heavily influenced by absinthe, alchemy and the occult. He later recorded his misadventures in the autobiography "Inferno". This track is a musical interpretation of Strindberg's total mental collapse towards the middle of the book, during which he becomes convinced that invisible demons and rivaling mages are attempting to assassinate him using gigantic electronic machinery somehow hidden in his hotel.
P.S. For those of you interested in the gear.
As expected, analog synthesizers constitutes the backbone of every Infantilt Inferno liveset. First off is the Juno 60, which does chords and arpeggio. While the Juno 60 is doing the arpeggio, chords are provided by a Yamaha Portasound PSS 360 (Quite possibly the only digital synth ever worth owning). The CS40m, on the other hand, does baselines and rythmic sounds and finally the MS10 does lead and additional soundeffects. Speaking of effects you might like to know that the Korg KasoPad is responsible for delay and reverb is provided by a Danelectro SpringKing. (Less)

This was the track that gave birth to the second phase of II's musical adventure, and it's one massive mother of a tune. The full track is a 7min monster, but I've uploaded this Action-Cut from our latest live set for those of you who want to get right down to the nitty gritty: Synthesizer Euphoria!
As usual the camera can't handle the dynamics, resulting in some inappropriate distortions... something we hope to rectify in future recordings. Nevertheless, it should prove to be quite the experience for all of you who like your electronic music served live.

Korg MS10 (Lead)
Roland Juno 60 (Chords)
Yamaha CS40m (Bass)
