11 Days later These are the results of a dog attack, this is 11 days after the attack. I go up to Running Springs (More) These are the results of a dog attack, this is 11 days after the attack. I go up to Running Springs to visit my brother Rick with my dad. I stay at home with my sister-in-law Wendy, my Niece Kayla, and my Nephew Logan, while my brother, his girlfriend Chrissi, and my dad go to work. Wendy and I were playing pinecone baseball with Kayla, while Logan was taking a nap. The dogs were going crazy because I guess they wanted to play. Wendy told me that she was going to let them out so we could put them on the runner, she told me exactly where they were going to run so I could grab Auggie. I ended up grabbing Boss, whom is a German Shepherd and Chow mix, and are apparently known for attacking people.
So, as I walk Boss to his chain, I just seconds later the fury black demon turns around an latches onto my left arm, ripping and snapping violently at it, flinging my watch off and flipping my knife out of my pocket as I repeatedly scream "Oh my God, get him off of me!". Wendy runs to help me and grabs his collar as my violent eemy rips the fat from my skin. All I could see was him and me highlighted, everything else in shadows, it was like a nightmare, all sounds drowned out from my hearing. The only thing I could thin about was, "Wow, this doesn't hurt, it must me my adrenaline and how do I get him off of me.". Wendy tries to restrain him as I slowly back away from the raging monster, but then his collar breaks and he leaps at me like a magnet to a refrigerator, wanting nothing but blood and perhaps my life. I turn around and without a running start, I leap off of this small cliff about eight feet down and nine feet across, landing on my feet about six inches away from the white line on the edge of the highway.
As I look back to the hill/cliff, I see the back beast running full speed towards me, the taste of my blood on his lips. Boss umps on me knocking me to the ground. By this time I am in shock and can only sit there, trying to push him back and repel him from my neck. As he snaps a my jugular, just when I am ready to give up, Wendy grabs him off of me, saving my life. Boss turns around and bites Wendy's arm, releasing it after realizing, who she was, badly bruising her arm. This dog was no stranger to me, nor I to him, he had snapped at multiple people before, handing out plenty of warning signs to what led up to one of the most traumatic seconds of my precious life.
As I sat there on the hot asphalt, in shock, wearing shorts with multiple bruising and puncture wounds dripping with blood, I see a blurry character walking down the street towards me. He starts to run when he realizes what has occurred, he helps me to my feet and walks me to the slope of a hill so that I may rest out of harms way. Wendy returns from containing the wild, blood-driven animal, and the kind stranger tells her to call 9-1-1 while I sit there reviewing my wounds, in awe from what I had just experienced, all the while I am hyperventilating and trying to keep my composure, because surely crying could not help anything or anyone. My new friend, whos name I never received, reassures me, helping me to be positive and strong. He waives down a cop and I get into his car so he could move me to a safer area rather than sitting on the side of the highway. Throughout this time I am getting questioned thoroughly by the kind stranger, the policeman and the ambulance crew.
All throughout this time Wendy is running to and from the house trying to deal with the kids and me. The whole twenty-five minute ride to the hospital was a fight to not cry or remember this horrible happening. When we arrived at the hospital I get questioned again. My dad had already been at the hospital waiting to enter the emergency room to see me. I have extreme bruising and puncture wounds on my left, lower leg, the side of my right thigh and left forearm. I get extreme cleaning and numbness shots around the deepest of my wounds and then I receive two stitches in my leg and another two in my arm. Thank you everyone who helped me throughout this time; the kind stranger, Wendy, Rick, Chrissi, Kayla and the cops and ambulance crew, thank you. (Less)
