The group's members were Larry Henley (born Lawrence Henley, 30 June 1941[1], Arp, Texas); and the brothers Dean (born 17 March 1939, Hahira, Georgia) and Mark Mathis (born 9 February 1942, Hahira).++++++++++++++++++++Songs "Bread and Butter" was the group's first hit. Written by Larry Parks and Jay Turnbow, the song reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It sold over one million copies in the U.S. [1] Three more singles followed in 1964 and 1965, but they had no further hits before disbanding in 1974. Henley is probably now best known as the co-songwriter of "Wind Beneath My Wings".
