Ms Pacman Upside Down Kill Screens A very Looney trio of upside down "Kill Screen" levels 134, 135 & 136...Done in one (More) A very Looney trio of upside down "Kill Screen" levels 134, 135 & 136...Done in one take! (No, definitely not the first take though!) Practicing by rack advancing for the day I actually get there legitimately to level 134. One can always hope. There was one more upside down screen not shown in this vid, then 4 regular junior levels, then lock up. This is using WolfMame .106 which apparently emulates the end-game behaviour of the arcade machine more accurately than on my other end-game vids. Also, watch for the bizarre slow down of the ghosts at spots near the bottom of the screen, as if they think they are going thru a tunnel.
Unfortunately, no, I can't really do this without training wheels. ;) I traced the proper right-side up maze on clear plastic and taped that onto the monitor. I found that it's still extremely difficult to not occasionally focus on the upside-down maze because it's so much brighter than the transparency. So, I turned the brightness way down to the point where I could just make out the ghosts and dots, and turned on a bright light behind me to give better contrast to the overlaid maze... I first tried it with a single ply of paper towel which was much easier to concentrate on the overlaid maze, but impossible to see what dots were left! I tried it a few times without the training wheels since making this vid, and it should be possible to do this for real with lots of practice.
Oh, this is best viewed with sound on! :)
Since the contrast with the red dots is so poor, I've uploaded an 800X600 resolution version to MegaUpload where the maze is perfectly clear, with a few more sound effects actually, stereo audio, and a pic of Foghorn Leghorn at the end:
