The boys in Laced in Lust have been making music and playing live for just under a year. The band itself is conglomeration of local Adelaide groups that were all active in the underground rock scene pre-2011. Following the breakups of these groups, the guys in Laced in Lust slowly got together one at a time, jamming and writing until the final line up was complete in early 2012. Laced in Lust recorded and released their debut 3-track single "Fire" in mid 2012 before successfully touring the east coast of Australia. The bands catalogue of music is inspired by a range of themes including love, the consequences of bad decisions, life and of course sex, drugs & rock n' roll. Laced in Lust has since built a reputation for high energy stage shows, and in turn have generated an ever growing and loyal fan base in Adelaide and Australia.
The music is a blend of high energy hard rock, with an old school punk attitude. The bands major influences are of the classic rock and roll outfits that played during the 60's, 70's and 80's. However, the boys have also fused ideas from modern artists, especially those of the unique "Melbourne Sound". Along with their catchy chorus's, the lyrics often show a variety of deep and meaningful themes hidden behind metaphors and double meanings.
To date, Laced in Lust has recorded and released their debut single, "Fire" (2012). The single is doing quite well in Adelaide and was well received during the east coast tour. "Fire" has received airplay on independent radio stations, and is currently climbing the Triple J Unearthed charts. The band has received offers of management and has been praised from promoters throughout their career. Laced in Lust continues to tour Australia, and plan to record a second single in late 2012 before touring Europe mid 2013. (Less)
