How to live stream using the Sony Evi D100 This is a tutorial on how to live stream using the (More) This is a tutorial on how to live stream using the Sony EviD-100. This is specifically geared towards webcam girls who work on sites like streamate. This can also be used for Skype calls, myfreecams, livejasmin, imlive, ifriends, etc.
This is a tutorial using a apple (mac computer), however similar concept applies for MS systems as well.
If you are using a mac you will need the following:
1. Sony EviD100
2. Svideo chord. male/male. This one will do the job: http://www.mycablemart.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=1321
3. Elgato video capture card.
4. Camtwist (it's free). Can download it here http://camtwist.en.softonic.com/mac
5. And last but not least whatever streaming software you are using.
Steps to connect and get your video ready for streaming:
1. Plug in the power of course!
2. Plug in one end of the Svideo chord to the camera and the other end to the Elgato. Make sure they are in tight-sometimes you have to give extra push.
3. Plug in the USB end of the Elgato to your mac.
4. Open Elgato video capture software. It may take a few minutes to bring up the video. Select S video input and then your aspect ratio.
5. If video is not showing up, do the following: click preferences under Elgato video capture and make sure it is set to H.264.
6. Open Camtwist and click desktop plus.
7. Make sure confine to application window and filter out untitled windows are selected. under the drop down select Elgato eye TV or Elgato S video input.
8. In whatever streaming software you are using make sure you select Camtwist as your video source.
That's it! Simple and easy!
