Thanks for watching ClevverMusic on YouTube. 21-year-old rapstress, Azealia Banks, who has often been more widely known for her feuds with fellow hot shot rap artists such as Jim Jones and Nicki Minaj, was at it again this weekend. Azealia AKA Yung Rapunxel began what turned into a heated rap diss war between herself and up-and-coming rapper Angel Haze. In July, Angel released her first EP Reservation that features a track titled "New York" and lyrics that state "I run New York" though she grew up in Michigan and currently resides in Virgina. The Harlem-born and bred Azealia Banks tweeted earlier this year "Seriously, if you were not born and raised in NY.... DON'T CLAIM NY. YOU ARE NOT A NEW YORKER." Angel wanted Azealia and the entire Twitter world to know that she definitely was the exception to Azealia's tweet , and she tweeted back with a diss track entitled "On the Edge" to Azealia which sparked the much heated hate war between the two rappers. Not only were there hateful words to each other between the diss tracks back and forth, but fans on both sides were backing the rappers and one notable support tweet came from celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton. Perez showed his support for Angel in the dispute and Azealia was quick to tweet at the celeb gossip blogger calling him a "messy f****t" which has sparked Gay and Lesbian support organizations around the country to speak out against the rapper's uncalled for slur. GLAAD the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has been vocal in speaking on behalf of people all over the world that find this specific word "ugly...archaic... [and] used to stigmatize a population of people who suffer high rates of violence both here in the US and abroad". Azealia was quick to backpedal over her careless tweet, saying that she herself is bisexual and knew exactly what she meant by the word. She clarified that the derogatory f-word was meant to describe a male that acts like a female, not a homosexual male. Hate tweets have been pouring in from all over which makes us question if people will even notice Azealia's new album "Broke With Expensive Taste" that is set to release in February.
