Here i interview Bron, their drummer about their Moby Dick themed cd and also a live show clip of 'Iron Tusk' in Gagarin club Athens Greece.I interviewed, filmed and edited the footage thanks to the BeExposed digital videomag and was very interesting to do as they are one of my favorite metal bands.the final result (including an extra live edit of 'Blood and thunder')was viewed in the BeExposed dvm vol.2 We used 6 different cameras so the show is well covered and i would like to thank venerate industries for letting us film and the beexposed dvm for making everything possible filming and editing by KOUROS www.myspace.com/nickkouros (Less)
Mastodon: Hearts Alive **Read Description** Artist: Mastodon Album: (More) **Read Description** Artist: Mastodon Album: Leviathan Song: Hearts Alive Hearts alive is the 9th song from Mastodon's acclaimed album 'Leviathan' which is themed on Moby Dick by Herman Melville. Although Leviathan is an incredibly strong album, with each song being amazing in it's own right, Hearts Alive is my personal favourite and would definitely be the highlight of the album if such a thing were to exist. It is an epic that is 13 minutes and 35 seconds long and, despite it's length, keeps my attention throughout the whole song. The song starts off with a 'mood-setting' intro, with the sea providing background noise. 2 minutes in there is a sudden change from the calm atmosphere and the guitar quickly becomes aggressive with the drums following suit. The song includes frequent instrumental breaks with flitting melodic tabs devoid of harsh vocals. I shall end the review, which has ended up being more of an essay, with this: Hearts Alive (along with the album Leviathan) is a must listen if you appreciate good metal music and/or are a fan of excellent prog metal. Since I've had problems with copyright when uploading before such as WMG blocking my videos worldwide, I will write a quick review in this description. Fair usage states that as long as I express criticism the video will not be blocked, muted or audio-swapped. Also, as far as I know, this is the only full studio version video of hearts alive that is well... one video, all the other videos on youtube have this <b>...</b> (Less)
