Tania Usher - Why Transparency in Business is the… To hear the entire episode, go to: (More) To hear the entire episode, go to: http://www.theredtentwoman.com.au/tania-usher-michelle-wright
Ludwina Dautovic's featured guest on the show this week is Tania Usher. Tania is the publisher of Dare magazine, a digital, online publication on caliber with some of the most sophisticated glossy media in print. It's fresh, eye-popping and begs the reader to Dare to... fill in the blank.
Tania returned to Australia several years ago to give birth to her son Tate. As fate would have it, Tate passed away right after he was born. Tania, now feeling like a childless mother, wasn't sure how to cope with the situation. She went back to the corporate world and 13 months later, she was pregnant again. Following the birth of a healthy child, Tania decided that she didn't want to go back into the corporate world and juggle being a mom all at the same time. She wanted to be there for all of the 'Kodak moments' and events with her child.
She heard about the internet and thought she could do something that would allow her to spend more time being a mom while still working and making a living. So she ventured out on her own.
To make a longer story much shorter, after spending a significant amount of time teaching other people how to produce things, Tania decided that it was her turn to actually do some of the producing. She spent some time cultivating her ideas until she knew exactly what her "brand" was going to be about. She founded the online magazine 'Dare' and has since created a community of loyal followers and readers.
Have a listen to the episode to learn why Tania says being authentic and opening your heart were keys to her success. Find out how being bold and just "doing it" can get you things beyond your biggest dreams. Everybody loves to talk about themselves. See how Tania uses that to her advantage in business.
There's a lot more to the interview, like how she manages her staff and their workflow, to how, when and how long to ponder things before you take action on them (I'll give you a hint... it's between five seconds ago and five seconds from now).

In My Biz, Your Biz, Ludwina chats with Michelle Wright, from Mishfit
You don't want to "Mish" this. Michelle Wright talks about her business, Mishfit, that helps postpartum women with some of the issues surrounding exercise and other events after child birth. It might be a topic that a lot of people are embarrassed to discuss, but it is also one that is surprisingly common.
Ah babies! With babies comes smiles and laughter and giggles and... dirty... diapers and mom's body making some 'after birth' changes (no pun intended).
After Michelle had her baby, she soon realised that things didn't feel quite the same inside. Like when she would exercise. There were some slightly embarrassing things that happen to a woman's body and these can be proliferated by working out (which is one thing that a lot of women really want to do after they give birth).
Some of these not-so-nice things can be avoided if approached properly, but Michelle didn't know how to do it at the time. Now that she does, she has taken that knowledge and turned it into a business... with franchises.
Come on in and find out how she did it. It's quite an interesting story and conversation.

Business Tip - Ludwina Gives Out Advice About Transparency and How to Properly Achieve it in Your Personal Life and in Your Business
In a world full of online interaction, social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, blogs and lots of other outlets offering greater interaction with people all over the world, some businesses are struggling with how transparent they should be with their customers. Social media, especially, quite naturally lends itslef to sharing. But just what and how much should you, as a business owner, share?
People really love to feel a connection with the businesses that they patronise. They like to have that human connection and to get a glimpse of the "Man (or woman) behind the curtain". Remember "The Wizard of OZ"? The Wizard insisted that we "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain".
These days, with even the largest of corporations interacting with their customers on Facebook, the small business owner can have an upper hand by showing the human side of their company. This is much easier for the small businesses because they aren't just an overgrown 'faceless' corporation.
But just how much should you share. Should you divuldge the personal? Should you machinate about the inner workings of your company? Those are both great questions and Ludwina has the answers to those and more in this episode of "Red Tent
