Damiana took a gander at hot muscled dudes getting down (very NSFW!), and she got to chat with the foundation's president Durk Dehner and vice president Sharp, Antebellum Gallery founder Rick Castro, artist Hector Silva, and numerous luminaries from the leather community - Mr. LA Leather 2010 Brad Taylor, Mr. Christopher Street West Leather 2010 Louie Pacheco, Mr. International Daddy Bear 2009 Joe Mannetti, Mr. West Coast Rubber 2009 Jeffrey Moline, Sister Buffy of the LA Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and many more. After nine consecutive singles / EPs Belgian label Sound Avenue has their first compilation release this week. 'Explorer 01' has been carefully compiled by label bosses Mitrinique and features exclusive tracks from the likes of: Martin Garcia, Yunta, Audiotox & Watson, Dark Soul Project, Davy Dee, Fancy Vienna, Lonya & Audio Junkies. Steve Slight, VinayakA and Mitrinique themselves.
Next up is one of Argentina's most well known producers Martin Garcia with his 'Surveyor'. Martin has racked up an incredible discography over the years with appearances on Bedrock, Vapour and Perfecto not to mention being Hernan Cattaneo's studio partner from time to time. 'Surveyor' comes with a wonderfully spacious groove with a killer roll and nice bounce to it. Simple hypnotic patterns soon encompass the track and in doing so build some excellent momentum which carries the piece to the main drop. Here the hypnotic elements escalate nicely for a suitably understated amount of tension which builds back to the thunderous groove reappearing for a smooth finish. (Less)
