Rainbow Village Music by Plaid "Two Rooms" Heaven's Door (OST) (More) Music by Plaid "Two Rooms" Heaven's Door (OST) [Warp] Rainbow Village Located in Taichung, Rainbow Village is the remaining buildings of Gan-Cheng Sixth Village (干城六村), a small community for military dependents. Mr. Yung-Fu Huang (黃永阜), a resident of the village, started painting the village in September, 2008 with vibrant rainbow-colored figures and animals. The village was scheduled to be torn down because of the city's re-zoning. When students and the general public heard about the plan to demolish the village, they started campaigns urging the city to preserve the village and Mr. Huang's art. In September, 2010, the city announced that it will turn the village area into a park and preserve the village. The village is now a very popular tourist destination. 彩虹眷村位於台中市西屯區，是干城六村眷村僅存的建物。當地居民黃永阜先生於2008年9月開始以水泥漆彩繪自家與鄰近房舍，村中牆面畫滿色彩鮮豔的人物與動物造型。 因眷村位於都市自辦重劃區中，被規劃為住宅與道路用地，面臨被拆除的命運。鄰近大學學生與民眾得知彩虹眷村即將被拆除的消息，發起了一連串的搶救行動，呼籲市府保留眷村與黃先生的彩繪作品。2010年9月，台中市政府宣布將彩虹眷村在重劃案中規劃為公園用地，保留該村。 彩虹眷村目前遊客絡繹不絕。 (Less)
