Adobe has done a great job of providing an upgrade path for CS5 and then dropping all help for people that have older products which often have many bugs and crash problems. People that support bad tech companies will get the products they deserve. Also see: www.dpreview.com The company, in a recent blog post about its 'Creative Cloud' online computing service, revealed that it will only allow owners of the most recent versions of Photoshop and Creative Suite to upgrade to the CS6 versions, when they become available. Customers are being asked to give bonuses and rewards to a company that does not deliver a good product .. time to move on! Hence, most Adobe customers need to plan ahead for way to migrate away from all Adobe software and support of said company. We've all seen enough of financial terrorism and now this sort of tech terrorism, where paying customers are treated like shit, is a step too far. Boycott adobe! It's become common enough that Adobe has announced a couple policies aimed at ending the practice: Creative Cloud and Single Cycle Upgrades. I've already written about Creative Cloud here and here.
