Kez - training scent A training session with Kez teaching a formal (More) A training session with Kez teaching a formal scent for competition obedience. One cloth has my scent on while the others have no scent on. To make it easier for her, the cloths with no scent on are attached to tiles to discourage mouthing. As you can see, she still tends to mouth a bit so thats something were working on.
She's got the exercise itself pretty much perfect now, we've just got to stop her mouthing and she'll be ready to use it in competition :).
This is an exercise I went into completely in the dark as I'd never trained anything like this before. Its been really fun to learn how to teach and to see how amazing a dogs nose really is. I urge everyone to teach there dog some scent games, they really are so much fun! (Less)
