Lia: You brought me here. You should have found us a
vacationing spot abroad. I'm a lady and a great person.
And, why didn't you jump in front, when I hit that guy
with my shoe? These people are not humans. They don't
understand the needs of a sensitive woman. They will
never be real human beings. Close the suitcase and throw
them 5 rubla (currency). Let's go. Let's hurry. (to farme's
wife) It was a pleasure to spend some time here.
(to a little kid) Maybe you'll be a real human being one day.
(to the farmer's wife) Muhumaa has beautiful nature. (to the farmer) We got
along very well.
Farmer: You think so?
Lia (to Timmu): It is too bad, that your're getting married
so young. (to John) Don't push too hard. (to everybody)
Nice people.
(Mart is lifting up the car)
Lia: What are you doing?
Mart: Hey you, dark -- haired girl, come out!
Lia: It is amazing, you lifted up 2 ladies with a car. Will
you stop it. Bye-bye.
Mart: Ärnie, give us your blessing.
Farmer: Do you think I'm a preacher?
Mart: Say something anyway.
Farmer: Let me give you some advice. Get married again.
Even if you guys fight, try to forget about those days and
think of the good days ahead. Let your house be the hell
and the heaven at the same time. I bet you could do it. And
if you'll have some kids..
Mart: I know we'll have some kids.
Farmer: How do you know? Anyway, if you'll have some
kids, you can bring them here to play with our grandkids.
Mart: See, he's a native of Muhumaa, but a real human being.
(later)
Lia: Why are you taking so long to put this engine together?
Why are you always so slow?
Aadu (in a big car): Do you guys need any help?
(handing John his business card) Maybe we'll meet later.
Bye-bye.
Lia: Show me.
(On the card: It says Doctor Aadu Kadakas, Psychiatrist)
Farmer: Where are you going?
Timmu: To Tallinn or elsewhere.
Farmer: You will stay right here, on this island, and
work hard. Sit down.
Liina: If we'll have some kids. Let's name the first one
Ärni, after my grandfather. Let's name the second one
The third...
Timmu: How many kids do you want?
Liina: They will come. Or, is there anything wrong with
you?
Farmer: Remember our wedding day. I was drunk without
alcohol. I haven't hugged you for a long time.
Timmu: Dad, stop this foolishness and sit down.

Chinese Activists Run Environmental Ads, Call… More News: http://www.ntdtv.ca
Over the years (More) More News: http://www.ntdtv.ca
Over the years you've probably come across photos online of China's heavily polluted environment. Well inside the Chinese regime, people have little say on the matter. And when some do speak out, they can lose their jobs, get jailed and even tortured.
So a team of two Chinese environmental activists are taking a different route. As you'll see next, they're running ads in overseas neswpapers, urging the Communist Party to prioritize China's environment.
On Nov. 30, the New York Times ran this ad in English and Chinese.
The faces on the ad are Chen Faqing and Wu Lihong, two famous environmental activists. They congratulated China's seven new leaders and called the Communist Party to make environmental protection its top priority.
Chen and Wu intended to run this ad in the state-run People's Daily, but got refused. The newspaper's ad department said their ad was too political and too sensitive to be published.
According to Chen, over the decades pollution has destroyed China's environment. And the increasing mass protests have drawn attention to the issue. So much that during the 18th Party Congress, the Chinese Communist Party integrated ecological development into its constitution.
Chen and Wu hope the Communist Party fulfills its environmental ambitions.
[Chen Faqing, Environmental Activist]:
"Both Mr. Wu and I know that the real situation is terribly bad. The government offers only lip service on combating environmental degradation, but it failed in practice. We do hope this ad would help voice our wishes that China's new leaders would create a pleasant living environment for us 1.3 billion Chinese people."
In the past 16 years, Chen launched lawsuits against environmental protection authorities in Zhejiang Province. He sued them for mining dust, noise and water pollution.
Wu Lihong, a resident of Yixing, Jiangsu Province, got involved in the protection of Lake Tai, a large lake in the Yangtze Delta in 1998.
When the activist exposed chemical plants discharging wastewater into Lake Tai, both Wu and his wife lost their jobs. Authorities later jailed and tortured Wu Lihong for three years for his activism.
Chen Faqing says China is beset by severe water, soil, and air pollution. In recent years, the rapid expansion of the chemical industry has polluted the country with heavy metals. And statistics show a sharp increase in a spectrum of cancers suffered by the Chinese population.
[Chen Faqing, Environmental Activist]:
"All day long, authorities claim how well they are protecting our environment, fighting environmental pollution and building a pleasant ecological environment. That's good talking, but in reality, pollution still remains unchecked in our daily life, and has even worsened in some areas."
Involved in environmental protection for over a decade, both Chen Faqing and Wu Lihong have concluded that the root cause of pollution in China is the lack of environmental laws and regulations.
Over the years, Chen Faqing has spent nearly 1 million Yuan, earned from his construction materials business, to publish environmental protection ads. So far they've paid for ad space in the People's Daily, The Southern Weekend, The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, a Mexican newspaper Milenio and so on.
As for mainland China, Chen and Wu have yet to find a media that would be willing to run their ad. (Less)
