Tung Twista - No Peace Sign (Album Version) [HQ… Carl Terrell Mitchell, better known by his stage (More) Carl Terrell Mitchell, better known by his stage name Twista (formerly Tung Twista), is an American rapper who once held the title of fastest rapper in the world, according to the Guinness World Records in 1992, being able to pronounce 11.2 syllables per second.[1] His 2004 album Kamikaze went to number-one on the US Billboard 200 album chart after the success of his number-one Billboard Hot 100 single "Slow Jamz." Mitchell grew up on the west side of Chicago, a place he described as rampant with gang-related violence. He was the oldest of four children in a low-income family with a strict mother and drug-addicted stepfather. To support his family, Mitchell began working at an early age. He also found the hip hop culture to be an escape from the violent environment he felt in his neighborhood. Twista released his debut album Runnin' Off at da Mouth in 1992. At that time, he performed under the name Tung Twista.[2] He became known in the hip-hop community for being the world's fastest rapper, and was listed in the 1992 Guinness Book of World Records for his fast rapping. Despite his notoriety from this the album did not sell particularly well, and Twista was dropped from the Loud Records label. His second album, titled Resurrection, was set to be released in 1994, but due to problems with record labels and marketing issues involving fellow Chicago rapper Common's album of the same name, the album was only released in the city of Chicago and thus got very little national <b>...</b> (Less)
